@DarraghScott I think it’s also related to transport rather than just milk freshness if everyone had extra milkings in then it doesn’t fit in the tankers that will be on catch-up anyway and never get back square

The Chancellor’s budget is a disaster for tenant farmers.
Small family-owned farms will be hit by the changes to inheritance tax and will be forced to sell up, with young people robbed of their opportunity to farm.
We’ll be fighting tooth and nail to protect family farms.

Predictably hysterical on here. £1m seems like a very low number, but no, this will not end farming in the UK. There are other countries that have inheritance tax, and they still farm.

@bencm305 Your right Ben the focus has got to be on what should be done now that the goal posts have moved not just striking towards where the goal was! My gut feeling is is there will be ways to mitigate just go find the advice!

So if the 7yr gifting rule will stay in place, this now puts so much more emphasis on earlier succession planning and the real potential that the younger generation of family farms could be in the drivers seat alot earlier then the previous generation... could be a real positive in a lot of cases?!

@richrobscows1 @DarraghScott My logic is if I can grab the nose or spin them round on the spot and they fall over they need a Bolus if not feck them they will be fine till the morn.
Bolus are better fix than bottles something to do with the calcium being absorbed through the stomach (some vet can explain..)
