When their economy is facing serious challenges, Russians have decided to spend a lot of money on American bloggers with controversial reputations just to hear them say that they love Russia, that Moscow is beautiful, and that they like Russians more than Ukrainians. Does it get any more pathetic or cringe than that? It’s like an alcoholic drowning in debt who decides to spend their last dollar at a bar instead of trying to get out of their financial troubles.
