Daniel Levy "What I’d say to them is that every single penny that goes into this club, whatever the revenue source is, whether that is purely football or whether that is third party events like conferences or concerts, it’s all going back into the team." Here's my ANALYSIS... 🧵

📉Spur of the moment: £350mn at stake #THFC 24/25 pre-tax losses were £128mn (UEFA) They'll have a £350mn financial hole to plug in order to comply with Championship P&S rules Cash flow was already pressured. If ENIC need to provide more money, will the Lewis family provide it all or will Levy be asked for his share? bit.ly/4bIXRCK

Paul - for me, it’s not just about the game itself or supporting the team. It’s the fact that multiple supporters groups are arranging an initiative for that day - the success of protests is predicated on numbers, CFT would have to go against all those other groups to arrange something and wouldn’t therefore get the numbers.

A difficult decision to make but ultimately the right one. This isn’t just about arguably the biggest game in the club’s recent history, but about the fact that successful protests are predicated on getting numbers and that’s not going to happen with the other initiatives happening.

@themagic_tophat Agree - it’s complete nonsense. I had 57% as a guesstimate for 24/25 SCR. Spurs have a history of playing up being “loss making” or “FFP pressures” in these statements over a number of years as a reason why we have to be constrained

I can’t say for certain until the 2024/25 accounts are published but Vinai claiming there’s been FFP pressure sounds like an outright lie to me. In 2023/24, SCR was 50% & PSR had £200m+ headroom. My 2024/25 guess is 56-58% SCR (limit is 70%). Won’t be anywhere near PSR breach.

[🥇] NEW: Vinai Venkatesham has hit out at Daniel Levy over Tottenham’s deep-rooted problems in a meeting with the Fan Advisory Board. He claimed that alleged mistakes from the Levy era mean that Tottenham face pressure to adhere to financial rules and must sell players. @Matt_Law_DT ⚪️🚨

Standards as a club are on the floor, lack of accountability and leadership across Tottenham Hotspur has never been as low as it feels right now. For how Spurs has been run and neglected, the board deserves relegation, our fans do not, nothing will change until everything does.

@levynomics1882 just thinking about the excuses tomorrow for wages etc. I may have asked you before. Is there banking restriction on the loans that says we can over spend on our wages / income ratio ?

@MarkRobinson94 Yep - it’s why I never really like looking at P&L in isolation

@levynomics1882 Does that UEFA pretax loss also include depreciation of the £1bn stadium?

UEFA landscape report for 24/25 is out - a couple of interesting bits for Spurs on a quick review: - A discrepancy between what Deloitte have reported as our wage to revenue ratio (44%) vs UEFA report (47%). Revenue is very similar in both so doesn’t seem to just be the conversion rate. - Big increase in our pre-tax loss (a big driver of this is depreciation every year) from €32m to €148m but this is surprising even with not having Kane included in the player sales for 24/25. Will be interesting to see the full accounts in due course (likely at the end of March).

@THFCAmerican Not great but I’m more interested to see the full accounts in due course. P&L is always a bit meh due to our depreciation charge skewing things

@levynomics1882 That pre-tax loss is a very bad sign and will be a huge issue in the Championship
