@davepl1968 This proves that even a broken [analog] clock is right twice a day. That does not discount the fact that it's wrong most of the time. A prediction should be vector, not scalar; without a timeline, it's not a prediction.

@infamis0 @_sierratrading Ah... you noticed this too; it started a few months ago for me. Had to [hide] certain charts to make sure they stayed in the background.
English

@_sierratrading I think it's been like that for a while now. Couldn't agree more. I'm hiding the title bars by default, so it doesn't bother me :D

Here's my understanding of things: It's wrong to assume someone's gender or pronouns. Yet you presume what most men are thinking as well as why they cross-dress.
A biological male dressed as a female is a cross-dresser or transvestite, regardless of motivation. The act of cross-dressing is what endears the label, not the motivations behind it.
English

@LewPayne @Amelia558rs There's a difference between being a transvestite and a crossdresser than, being transsexual is different.
Most men who consider themselves transvestites or crossdressers do it for the kick of doing it but they don't want to be women. It's a sexual fetish for them

Yes... this (story), over and over again. At first, you want to help those who express an interest. But what it takes time to realize is that, for some reason, many will ignore teachings and do it their way (despite a history of losing trades). Eventually, you learn this is human nature - and you don't get sad or upset about it. I think this is why it's easier to teach someone who has no experience, rather than teaching someone who has already developed bad habits.
I understand (or "I have come to understand") that trading rooms are a social gathering for most, and a "work" gathering for very few. There's a big difference between those willing to do the work (even if paper trading while learning) and those who watch just to be entertained.
English

I'm kinda sad and frankly upset about this, so I just need to vent.
So story time....
I've known this trader who, since day one, has been asking for help in one way or another. At some point he signed up for my studies, then dropped off. Then he signed up for just the stream, then dropped off again. Then he re-signed up for the studies...
All of this while staying in constant communication with me. My intention was never to force him to use my stuff if it wasn't working for him, but I've always been there for him....answering questions, etc.
Then about three weeks ago I reached out: "Hey, how's your trading going?"
He replied: "Not well, because of x/y reason..."
So I told him, look, I'll give you one of my best strategies for free. I haven't shared it with many people, but it's nothing groundbreaking....if you trade order flow, you've probably seen a variation of it.
Still, I made him a video, gave him instructions (which took time), and sent it over.
His response: "👍"
A few days later I checked in: "How's it going? Did you try the strat or at least spend time backtesting it?"
He answered: "I blew a few accounts."
I asked: "Using my strategy?"
No reply from him... so obviously not.
He has since unsubscribed again. I don't care about the unsubscription. The strategy I gave him didn't even use any of my studies.
I genuinely wanted him to see the light at the end of the tunnel with some solid wins and a good r/r strategy.
What upsets me most is that you try to help someone, put in the time and effort, and they put in zero effort on their end. I already know this is how most people are and why most traders fail. But damn, it's annoying!
Plus not the first time this happens to me.
/rant over.

@brockpierson Yes... I even had my own cage at PAIX (Palo Alto Internet Exchange) with my own servers, near the AltaVista racks.
English

@_sierratrading @ekberg_hans Indeed... 3.5 true range for watching auction patterns at the edges (volume and delta), and 1.75 true range for surgical entries and exits (along with dealer activity and T10).

English

@ekberg_hans I previously used a 10s chart for my execution 🤣
I got turned to the 3.5pt range bar by watching @LewPayne, I do change the range if volatility goes up, there's no "right" value for the range bar, it's just what you're comfortable with.
I do use it for exec.
English

@AuclairsDad So did I, in my discord, Friday before the NYSE close. It was obvious.
English

@warsurv The us will get really bad consequences by attacking Cuba
English

@TheActor_movie @grok @warsurv You assume the facility was completely destroyed. We know from Iranian claims that they salvaged whatever equipment and uranium they could. Your binary view of events is as flawed as your bias is.
English

@TheActor_movie @warsurv Yet another simpleton statement, and it fails to take into account the fact that enrichment facilities can be rebuilt, as can their centrifuges. But go ahead, continue to play ignorant - it comes naturally to you, anyway.
English

@TheActor_movie @warsurv You act as if something that's destroyed can't be built again. What type of simpleton are you?
English

@Rainer_Winkleer @warsurv Thank you for the analysis, Mr. Maduro.
English

@warsurv The US should now put the UK on notice that it will not honor NATO agreements should the UK be attacked in the future. Screw these UK idiots.
English

@TwinCities2030 @Suzierizzo1 Elian Gonzalez! I used to refer to him as "Alien" Gone... zales. Illegal alien, deported as he should have been.
English

@ianmiles Indeed… there’s always a willing cluster of retards ready to post as expert witnesses on things they know little about… technology being one of the bigger ones.
English

It's called internal storage. Ring is always recording as long as it's powered on. It only uploads the saved data to the cloud when you have an active subscription. You can still access the stored footage for a period of time before it gets overwritten.

Max Burns@themaxburns
The FBI retrieved this footage from Nancy Guthrie's Nest camera even though she didn't have a subscription. Which suggests Nest cameras are always recording and retaining content even when users aren't subscribed to that service.
