@smithymayo I don't know about it being metaverse fluff or just a continuation of what we've always seen. Bad actors with selfish intentions cherry-picking data to sell the uneducated a pipe dream and then complain that brands are giving up on gaming/esports when they don't return

@smithymayo Seeing the same with Roblox on LinkedIn too it's exhausting... 30+ staff across the agency and brand congratulating themselves on making a map and how "groundbreaking" it is because it has "1 million visits" only to find out it's <2 minutes of session time and no return players

I don't get this trend of marketers pushing brands towards spending big $$ on making their own Fortnite maps. Here's a global brand's custom map, posted all over LinkedIn as an "amazing example" 12 peak concurrent players.... More "metaverse" fluff?

@OstentatioChirp @JagexAsh Just confirming for Ash that after this I have since received the Red and Yellow gems respectively so I am inclined to believe it was likely the rare dupe chance that Ostentatio mentioned. Would be fun to find out if that is what occurred and so the wiki can be updated 😅

@Lewart_ @JagexAsh Just tagging on: we think there might be a chance the dupe prevention is skipped when someone receives a unique in a low level raid, but fails the 1/50 roll to ignore the level restriction – they get a gem or thread instead, circumventing the dupe check. Might this be the case?

@guidesforusall To me, it doesn't matter what the core mechanic is of leveling, buyable or not, AFK or not - putting arbitrary XP reqs or rewards doesn't improve the content to me, it's more of a handicap. New quests, new lands, new encounters, new items, all of that can stand alone without XP.

@guidesforusall What does excite me is new content, particularly new PVM or area expansions. I love the idea of traveling to new lands, ocean raids, and other things they discussed but personally, I don't want that linked to repetitive XP gains & reqs, I would prefer a stand-alone expansion.

I would genuinely love to hear people actually talking about why they do/don't like sailing. I have actively tried to look and I haven't been able to find one person posting about why they're voting no, just people complaining without a reason and flexing that they're voting no.
