@SW_Help will it ever be a thing to which you buy a ticket you're then granted a seat exactly how other train providers do it? £70 to sit on my suitcase for 3 hours, also is their a food trolly?
@SW_Help when will it ever be a thing where you pay and you get given a seat with the ticket? Sitting on a suitcase for 3 hours for £70. Should be discounted for the cheap seat people
@LewisBurges_@McDonaldsUK All McDonald's are doing the same, the reply is pure bullshit, been happening for months now across the country. McDonald's are quickly becoming the stingiest fast food chain
@SW_Help Limited to one train every two hours and also takes much longer, seen a statement saying approximately one hour longer? But you’re still selling tickets at a high price. Will you be providing more carriages to cater for all passengers given the reduced timetable?
⚠️ From Monday 11 August there will be a reduced timetable for services between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids, until further notice.
This is due to speed restrictions between Gillingham and Axminster.

☀️ Hot weather is forecasted this week- please remember to bring a bottle of water with you when you travel. If you feel ill on the train, speak with a member of staff, or disembark the train at the next stop.
Please check before you travel: southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-journey
@swtrains_watch@SW_Help@Heidi_Labour I’m still wondering what your thoughts are on the above and an answer on why you think it’s acceptable to release trains from your depot with no AC in 30 degrees heat for 3 hour journeys. It’s fine keep tweeting to simply tell passengers to ‘bring a bottle of water’ though..
@Drew_Hyndman@SW_Help I’m the same, I remember this. They advertised that it’s coming soon as part of an upgrade back around 2020. +5 years on I’m sure the service has gotten worse. They even had a catering trolley once! Now you just have to try be grateful that the train isn’t delayed or cancelled
@LewisBurges_@SW_Help I've been using SWR (Exeter to London Line) for years now and those signs about plug sockets coming soon pre-date that! Last I asked they said it wasn't possible... Looks like they're at least back to considering it
@SW_Help hello, I’m booking my train down to the south west. It clearly stats that power sockets are part of this service but I’ve yet to see any power sockets? Could you advise?
@SW_Help Hi CW, on the back of earlier (well timed) have experienced one of the worse journeys. I don’t believe this is one bit legal, no AC, everyone crammed in the train. Two people nearly passing out. Stuck on the tracks for 10mins before Basingstoke also. Crushed and being exhausted
@LewisBurges_ I believe there are due to be sockets added to a number of our services, but unfortunately I'm not aware of the timeline for this process. My apologies. ^CW
@SW_Help Yes Trainline, so incorrect information upon a sale. Is there any future improvements to upgrade this service for power sockets? I’m a little shocked a 3 hour service doesn’t have any power sockets. Only if you pay over £145 to use first class.
@LewisBurges_ Hey Lewis. Unfortunately not all of our services have power sockets throughout the train - some only have them in First Class. Is this using Trainline? It appears they may have shown the wrong information, I'm afraid. ^CW
