A charter bus struck six vehicles on southbound Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia, early Friday morning, killing five people and injuring dozens more.  The crash occurred around 2:35 a.m. near mile marker 146, close to Quantico, when the bus—operated by E&P Travel and traveling from New York City to Charlotte, N.C.—failed to slow for traffic in a work zone, according to Virginia State Police. All five fatalities were occupants of the passenger vehicles struck by the bus.  The victims were all from Massachusetts: a 45-year-old man, 44-year-old woman, 13-year-old girl, and 7-year-old boy from Greenfield in one vehicle, and a 25-year-old woman from Worcester in another.  Approximately 34–44 people were hospitalized, including three in critical condition. The bus carried about 34 passengers.  The driver, identified as Jing S. Dong, 48, of Staten Island, New York, was injured and is among those hospitalized. Charges are pending as the investigation continues. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy noted that Dong is a naturalized U.S. citizen who received his commercial driver’s license from New York in 2024.

Ross was recently reprimanded for workplace sexual misconduct, including an affair involving sexual encounters in her chambers during business hours. She was also found to have lied to investigators about it. She needs to be disqualified ASAP!
