Just wondering as the SNP win - massively increasing the majority - has been airbrushed out by MSM.

@r_stwrt_ There was a 4% vote share loss from the SNP, EVEN if we say that all went to the tories (it didn’t) if the Labour vote had held up, we still would’ve won. Labour lost over 20% to the Tories, that’s why they won.

We've now had a month of saturation coverage and negative headlines for the SNP over Murrell.
The SNP lost 4% of the vote share in Aberdeen and .. er .. gained 6% of the vote share in Arbroath.

Sorry but this has never been a "formerly safe seat" for the SNP.
It is a marginal seat - Tories won in 2017 and yesterday. Before that (up to 2010) Labour.

Two other Westminster by-elections results today 👇 The SNP has lost the formerly safe seat of Aberdeen South to the Scottish Conservatives, with a 14.69% swing. The Tories threw significant resources into the contest with Kemi Badenoch visiting three times, as they sought to make it a battle over increased North Sea oil and gas production. The SNP did hold onto Arbroath and Broughty Ferry in a separate byelection.
