@LexaDoig @mapleservo As these existing producing wells decline in production (as ALL wells eventually do, some quicker that others), your group of morons are REALLY going to cost the consumer. THEN we can talk about profits, when the laws of supply vs demand kick us in the nuts.

Sooo a guy worth over half a billion dollars is gonna lecture creatives who can’t pay their rent on what’s realistic? Maybe (and I’m just spitballing here) his exploitation of said creatives is what’s actually the problem?

People think actors are all rich. We are not. I rent my home + had to close my savings accounts on Monday to consolidate $ so I could pay my rent. No retirement funds, a kid in college, etc... and I'm one of the lucky ones! #ActingIsNotAHobby #SAGAFTRAstrong

The greed is almost a legendary comic trope - one fun fact - when I was a youngin- I did a film (with a boom box ) and somehow I got points - net not gross. Never expected to see any money - but the film became quite famous - so about 10 years ago - I looked again at the financial statements they were obligated to report - and to my shock - they claimed they had LOST 44 million dollars on the film - I thought wow , I almost bankrupted Fox! ( not really ) The film cost about 13 million to make - and money spent to release was minimal at the time - 30 years in - that film lost millions every year ! A neat accounting trick don’t ya think ?

This is a painful chapter in the lives of artists everywhere. Most actors & creatives don’t make millions. Many who make magic on-screen struggle to make ends meet. It’s easy to take this for granted at the top. We can’t have art w/o a sustainable future for artists. #SAGAFTRA
