They can’t “opt” out of fatherhood; they are required to pay child support legally, and if they don’t, the state goes after them. So what are you talking about? If abortion is legal, why is it okay for the father to not have a say so in it? The father should have a say on whether his child lives or dies. With current science, they can determine paternity before the abortion limit, so if he is willing to take care of the child, the baby should be allowed to be born. You say it’s wrong for a man to force an abortion on a woman, but why is it okay for a woman to force fatherhood on a man or force him to accept his baby being killed? You are right that everything should go both ways. In my opinion, if any man asked me to get an abortion, I would have him sign over all parental rights at birth and not want one cent from him. If he doesn’t want to be in my child’s life, so be it—I won’t force it, but I won’t give him the time of day with my baby either.

If abortion is illegal, then abandoning your pregnant partner should be illegal too. If women can’t opt out of pregnancy, men shouldn’t be able to opt out of fatherhood. Accountability has to go both ways
