Dr Scott Arthur MP (Edinburgh South West) 🌍🌈🌹
My Rare Cancers Bill is gaining strong cross-party support, with backing from both government and opposition parties in the Commons and the Lords. Key organizations like H/Advisors Cicero, Cancer52, Brain Tumour Charity, Brain Tumour Research, and Pancreatic Cancer UK have all urged MPs and peers to help ensure its passage, so we can boost research and clinical trials for rare cancers. Today, we debated less survivable cancers, and it was fantastic to see MPs from across the political spectrum voicing their support for my Bill ahead of its second reading in the Lords next Friday. The Bill aims to: ✅ Establish a government lead for rare cancers ✅ Improve access to clinical trials ✅ Review drug regulations Its progress through the Lords will require continued cross-party backing at this crucial stage. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the Bill so far, especially my office team and Baroness Elliott of Whitburn Bay. This truly has been a team effort!

@AmosMurphy_ @TFTerraceMedia Cheeso, wake up, Terry. This is just clickbait. Man City were never in the title race; they were only there because Arsenal kept dropping points. The team is still shy of a couple of players like your beloved Utd

The decision by @ManCity to freeze season tickets for a second season is a great for our core fanbase. And is also in stark and direct contrast to other PL clubs @WeAreTheFSA

@lukestanley03 The reason is the EPL has become anti football and it’s all about corners , free kick and throw ins. The rest of the teams in Europe are still playing football thanks Arsenal

@Jack_Gaughan This is a well-known issue, the club want people to use public transport or walk. Jack, you have the power to question the club on this. I have written to the Mayor about a suggestion to help with the issue & got a reply. Passed on the club, heard nothing

Almost midnight and there are still hundreds of cars barely inching away from the Co-op, Asda, Etihad. Regular noise pollution for those flats on Alan Turing Way must make them very difficult to sell.

@ScotRail It's not about the time you copied what other transport organisations are doing and brought in the tap tap cap system. Well done to SPT and Edinburgh trams for doing so Pay As You Go contactless payments now live on Glasgow’s Subway | STV News

@ManCity After building the Mamma Mia Live building, this is the next building that should be built at the Etihad Campus. It's like a mini sphere and is a cinema as well as a multi-sport viewing arena. Cosm | We Power Immersive Experiences Around the World

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I am convinced Stephen Mfuni will be a senior England international in 12-18 months. He is in my opinion the best English CB prospect around. Impressively he can also play as an LB. Been really impressed by the ease with which he has settled on loan at Watford. What stands out to me about him immediately are his physical traits. He is an ectomorph with long legs perfect for defensive situations. He’s also quick and very difficult to beat in one vs one situations and defensive duels. Secondly, what also stands out is how calm and composed he is on the ball. He carries with confidence, makes smart vertical passes. He can go long, he can go short, make line breaking-passes that are perfectly weighed. He’s not afraid to take risks which is admirable for a player who is barely 18 stepping into adult football for the first time. Sometimes there’s a mistake in his game, but he tends to make up for it by winning the ball back. Defensively he reads the game superbly. Good acceleration, and anticipation. He defends the channels really well, quick to make recovery runs. Decent in the air although he has found it a bit more difficult to assert his dominance in the Championship so far. Overall, he’s a proper modern day defender. Someone who can go very far. Interestingly his brother is regarded as equally talented and he plays for Liverpool’s academy at the moment captained the team that won the Virgil Legacy tournament in the summer. One to keep an eye on.
