@StAnds4Sustain Plans were made by our pupils involved in @1point5MAX and Eco Club. Some of the events drew on amazing practice already going on in the school like the @MGS_SfL Free to a Good Home stall and @English_MGS book swaps. Aiming for bigger and better next year but would encourage!

Tomorrow is “Thrifty Thursday” where the Free to a Good Home stall, run by Mrs Howie and Mrs Beveridge, will be in the Dance Studio at breaktime and lunchtime. ♻️

It's "Walk to School Wednesday" with 69% of the pupils and staff who responded to our survey this morning having done just that! - 69% walked - 19% got the bus - 8% travelled by car - 4% other Some pupils also shared photos of what they see on their walk to school. #EcoWeekMGS

Come along to the MGS Christmas market this Saturday. The Gardening group will be selling Sweet Peas they've grown from seed and hand made decorations. Funds are being raised for our MGS garden 🌲🎄🌲

With #COP27 beginning today, it felt important to share something our pupils said last week at @1point5MAX: climate change feels overwhelming when you think it’s just your responsibility but more can be achieved when we work together and it gives you hope. #ClimateAction 🌎

Finalising plans for our @mgsonline climate actions. Our main proposals are: using curricular time to learn about climate justice; contributing to the community through a litter pick and Eco Week; managing our plastic waste more responsibility; and educating our community.♻️🌱

This afternoon the @mgsonline pupils have been focusing on their own problem statement for @1point5MAX: plastic being used excessively in school and in the community. Solutions have been pitched and whittled down to our final three. #climateaction #climateeducation #COP27
