All in full contrast to the white Brit’s on the grid who have always received far more sincere affection. Days like this really remind us all where the true power lies. For Sir Lewis Hamilton to win his record 9th at Silverstone: The home of Motorsport, as the most successful British driver in history, most successful F1 driver in history & unparalleled British sportsman. The Defiance of that. The poetic justice. The Audacity of a Prodigy to be so generational…to have the Talent to surpass all their idols. The Leadership and Longevity to keep the sport in the palm of his hand. No matter how they try to rewrite their own ending. That kind of success DEMANDS to be seen as it stands in the face of a long history of prejudice & exclusion.
