.@SiobhanCoadyNL I’m pleased to support the Premier as he said to Ottawa: now is not the time to increase the carbon tax. We have affordability problems nationwide. We’ve reduced the tax significantly on gas. $750M returned to the people of NL in affordability measures. #nlpoli

.@johnjhogan The budget for health care has increased year over year to deliver health care for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. We have incentives to recruit and retain health care practitioners in NL. Our government is increasing positions and resources in the system. #nlpoli

.@FureyAndrew We invested extra money in our budget for public safety and the Minister of Justice recently announced additional resources to support communities including joint task forces, increasing correctional and RNC officers, implementing new crown attorneys, etc. #nlpoli

.@KLHowell2021 We’ve successfully implemented a pilot project and have heard from our schools and the NLTA about its success. We’ve introduced 160 student assistants, have 40 IRTs this school year, and we’ve improved the student to councillor ratio from 1:500 to 1:333. #nlpoli

.@johnjhogan We have a Seniors Well-Being Plan and programs like the Caregiver Program to ensure seniors can age at home. It is very important that we do for seniors what they want us to do for them. If they do need long-term care homes, we will make that available. #nlpoli

.@FureyAndrew The whole province needs a new tertiary health care centre. A campus-style that will serve the people of Newfoundland and Labrador. We will continue with the aggressive recruitment package that we have already introduced, and is already paying dividends. #nlpoli

.@johnjhogan ER diversions are down. There’s two reasons they’re down. One is access to virtual care, and one is that under this Premier, the health care budget has increased every year since he’s been here. #nlpoli

.@johnjhogan There was a high watermark of about 750 RN vacancies at the end of October 2022. They have since dropped to 600, and as we complete our current analysis, we see that the number has gone down from 600 as well. NLHS is doing everything they can do hire RNs. #nlpoli

.@SiobhanCoadyNL The federal government is implementing a special measure for the next 2 months on HST - lowering it on a number of items. We will be matching that. The Premier is also in Ottawa speaking to the federal government about affordability. #nlpoli

.@SiobhanCoadyNL We’ve implemented $10/day child care; ensured that electricity bills don’t double; taken over 8 cents/litre off the cost of gas; and eliminated tax on home insurance. We’ve been working very hard, with a strong economy, to ensure that we can help NLers. #nlpoli

.@johnjhogan I’ve asked NLHS to make sure they’re doing their best to ensure that RNs that are in this province and are able and willing to work in this province are offered positions that are suitable for them. We are working to fill vacant positions. #nlpoli

.@KLHowell2021 Our government is currently investing heavily in NL’s education system. Our Education Accord is deploying several experts who are looking at the entirety of our system and how we can positively impact the learning opportunities provided. #nlpoli

.@SarahlStoodley I’m very proud of the work we’re doing in the U.K. Based on the U.K’s changing immigration policies, we believe there are a lot of health care workers in the U.K who will want to come to NL. We have over 900 interested individuals. #nlpoli

.@Fred_Hutton We are going to provide enhanced health care services to thousands of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. It is accessible for metro area communities including St. John’s, Mount Pearl, CBS, Paradise, etc. It is a great location for the hospital. #nlpoli

.@JohnAbbottnl The whole purpose of the transitional supportive living initiative on Airport Rd. is to support individuals from long term homelessness into stable housing. We’re providing wraparound services, security, and housing and mental health supports. #nlpoli

.@PamNParsons We are the government that brought in pay equity legislation. No other administration has done that, but it is this government that has done it. It is one tool in the toolbox to close the gender wage gap. Be part of the solution. #nlpoli

.@FureyAndrew A brand new hospital that will service not just the people of a growing metro region, but indeed every Newfoundlander and Labradorian. This is much needed. #nlpoli

.@FureyAndrew We will hire every single nurse of this graduating class. There will be jobs for them if they can be matched. We will match them to the best of our ability, like we did last year, to succeed at over a 90% rate. #nlpoli

.@johnjhogan NLHS have told every single nurse in that class that they will have a job here in NL. The focus is on ensuring that vacancies are filled in rural NL because delivering good health care in rural NL is a top priority for this government. #nlpoli

.@FureyAndrew We have a plan to eliminate agency nurses and use the ones that are educated and recruited here at home. #nlpoli
