Our trainers have commenced phase 2 of the In-Station basic journalism training for community radio journalists in Liberia as part of @USAIDLiberia Media Activity implemented by @InternewsLiberia and CEMESP.

“Gender responsive reporting...requires challenging negative stereotypes, focusing on substance & digging deeper into issues women care about & issues that affect women in politics & elections,” said Carolyn Myers, Media Specialist & moderator at today's panel discussion.

Our Deputy Rep. Ms Yemi Falayajo, at the panel discussion on role of media in promoting gender responsive reporting urged the media to serve as civic educator in elections: "The media can promote public awareness & take actions to mitigate gender-based stereotypes against women."
