They're not "Democrat Socialists". They're communists. DSA (Destroying Society Altogether) glazes Lenin, the most prominent communist revolutionary of the last century, responsible for killing 10 million people with summary executions, forced labor camps, & famine. Evil stuff.

Join the DSA SF Education Committee for an interactive discussion of the ideas and classic texts of Lenin. It's perfect for newcomers, but also a great way to dig deeper into Lenin's crucial contribution to socialism. Register here: zcu.io/6b1U

If you confiscated all the wealth of all the billionaires in the country--and let's just pretend you could actually liquidate it for that much--you would cover about ONE YEAR of federal government spending. As @ComicDaveSmith points out in his reply to this clip, we're not taxing our way out of this, and the idea that we ever had a Friedmanite government at any point is simply ahistorical. "Which year did Ronald Reagan cut spending? Oh, wait, it increased EVERY year?" We aren't going to fix this country with Hamiltonian economics. We need to embrace a Misesian/Rothbardian understanding of economics, and until the right understands that, they're going to keep losing to the left in the long run because they are fundamentally thinking of government and economics on the left's terms.
AF Post@AFpost

JD Vance says the GOP is moving towards Hamiltonian economics and not Friedman-style laissez faire economics, enabling self-actualization, leisure, and family formation. “The economy is a tool to serve the dignity of the human person.” Follow: @AFpost

Dave is an entrance to the libertarianism rabbit hole. Dave builds a rapport with Tucker, Candace, The Young Turks, etc by focusing an areas of agreement. The idea there is to build trust. The regular viewers of those shows do so because they like the host, and if the host likes Dave, that gives Dave some legitimacy up front. Then, he makes such an impression on some of them that they watch an episode of his podcast. If they like it, they may subscribe. Then YouTube might start surfacing it for them in their algo. If a title catches their eye, they may watch another one. And another. Eventually, some become regular viewers. If you’re a regular viewer/listener to Part of the Problem, you’ll eventually hear the names Rothbard, Mises, Hoppe, etc. He’ll mention Tom Woods and Scott Horton and Bob Murphy. They may start reading libertarian literature and following these guys on Twitter. Once they do that, they’ll start seeing more posts from libertarians and start following them. They’ll start falling into libertarian Twitter. They may find my account or yours or Zulu’s. Before long, they’re calling themselves libertarian and diving into the various internal debates. They may end up in your camp, or, like me, stay in Dave’s. But either way, they’ve moved way closer to where you are than where they were. You could be happy that Dave is so popular and is bringing in so many new people, or you can be a crab in the bucket, tearing down the most effective spreader of libertarian philosophy in the world right now. Up to you.

"Libertarian" podcasters are now at an impasse where they need to either give up being dissident RWers with podcast audiences of RWers and connections to other RW podcasters or give up calling themselves "libertarians" because the longer they try to do both the more untenable it-

Very sad to see Nick, who we all thought was anti-establishment, descend to this level. Christian Zionism flies in the face of the universal testimony of Christendom about the role of Israel and the church, and that includes all the major Protestant reformers. Nick would have you believe this means all of them were "hating on Jews," which is of course the language of the left: Western civilization gives rise to "hate" of this or that group. I don't know what you are if you stoop to that level, but you sure as hell aren't on the right. The right has sat back and allowed this crap to infect the minds of American Christians who have no idea they're involved in heterodoxy. I would say that is the slightly greater scandal than which guests Tucker has on his podcast
Nick Freitas@NickJFreitas

@JoelWBerry @DLoesch There is no level of disgrace Tucker isn’t willing to ignore as long as you’re willing to hate on Jews.
