Yesterday, @WHO led another medical evacuation mission from #Gaza with 30 patients and 60 companions, who will be receiving needed medical care in UAE, Romania and the Netherlands. We thank the governments of UAE, Romania, Netherlands, health personnel, and @eu_echo for offering lifeline to those critical patients. So far, WHO supported medical evacuation of almost 8,000 patients since October 2023, including over 5,500 children. We continue to call for more countries to show their solidarity, as over 16,500 patients in Gaza need urgent specialised care and for opening of all evacuation corridors, especially to West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
