So no, a white person adorning Blackface it is not the same as a Black comedian cosplaying a white woman. That’s not a double standard, that’s the difference between oppression and satire, between punching down and punching up, between racism and comedy. Calling that hypocrisy isn’t insight, it’s gaslighting. You don’t get to ignore history, erase power dynamics, and then pretend the two are equal. Miss me with the false equivalence.
