Walk into Riot Games and look to the right of Tibbers, and you’ll see an alt Viper, a photo-realistic Astra, and other explosions of color, clamor, and Champs. Every visitor to our LA office walks past the art, but not everyone knows the story. In 2023, we collaborated with seven LGBTQIA+ artists for Pride. After the campaign, we bought their favorite piece, framed it, and hung it in our halls. Thanks for helping decorate Riot @Luzdanaee, @SuperRisu, @Hekatiane, @yellowestmango, @arteapotstudio, @ryuunart, and unholythorne.

Nearly 2,000 km away from its new tribute on a wall in our Sydney dev studio, a statue of Nautilus provides a home for fish in the Great Barrier Reef.

Some hidden details in our Sydney office tour: 1. The art in the Bilgewater room is by Kathleen Korda, an indigenous artist. 2. Chippie Chase, the arcade game, was built during Thunderdome. 3. A construction worker drew a smiley face. We liked it, so we designed around it.

Last week we held Thunderdome, our version of a hackathon. Rioters worked on [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED]. Kidding… kinda. The goal of Thunderdome isn’t to ship anything, but the work during Thunderdome has led to everything from game modes to anti-cheat products
