BCCI announce Nagpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi and Ahmedabad the five venues for the January-March 2027 BGT. The wait continues for Australia to return to Eden Gardens - no Test there since the 2001 VVS/Dravid miracle. And no Mumbai Test for them since 2004. Oh well.

Eden Gardens hasn't hosted Australia since 2001. Wankhede hasn't hosted Australia since 2004. And it will be at least 2031 until the might be able to. It's an absolute joke how we treat our iconic Test venues.

@ps_it_is I didn't thought it were the case. If so then you have a point. But at the same time, RCB men and women combined most likely have more eyeballs then those four RR teams. All in all, a great deal for the current franchise owners and Indian sports in general.

Lot of people surprised it’s not a bigger valuation for RCB in comparison to RR, missing the point. The RR purchase is of four franchises (RR, Paarl, Barbados Men and Women) whereas RCB sale includes just the IPL and WPL team and has gone for 0.15 B more than RR with 4 teams.

@Im__Arfan One of the biggest hook for RCB among the fans was the pursuit of the IPL trophy all this time, the moment the franchise finished the story last year, the slate became clean, so maybe it played a slight part in this financial picture in comparison with RR.

@Royals2008 Let's see, and to be honest it isn't such a bad thing in the long term. Jaipur needs to either see big money getting poured into renovation of Sawai Mansingh Stadium or construction of new stadium to happen right away.

Ownership change will have effects on the ground if management has an overhaul if they keep the same people in charge i don't think we gonna see some radical shift. Whether new owners mean business or they really want to get into the league seriously, only time will tell
