@DailyMonitor Each time there is heavy deployment of police or army around parliament just before a bill is tabled, you ought to know that it’s being passed against the will of Ugandans and not in their best interests or benefit but rather to Kaguta, his empire and his accomplices.

UPDATE: Heavy security has been deployed around Parliament, with military and police sealing off key access routes and restricting entry for both MPs and staff. This comes ahead of a 2PM plenary sitting, where legislators are set to debate the controversial Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2026, which will be tabled for its second and third readings.

@Kenyans This guy never gets tired of lying to his people. The refinery in Tanga was more crucial because that’s where Uganda is channeling its crude oil from Hoima. A refinery in Mombasa is good but will take some good years to have because there is no oil exploration in Kenya as of now.

A lot of you are asking what a weGo Smart Card is.. A weGo Smart Card is contactless payment card for public transport in Uganda, designed to enable cashless, tap and go fare payments on buses and trains. You load money onto the card using mobile money or FlexiPay, then use it when boarding public transport. Instead of paying cash, you tap the card on a machine and the fare is deducted instantly. There is no need for cash or searching for change. The system uses contactless technology similar to what is used in modern transport systems in cities like London. It makes travel easier because boarding becomes faster and payments are automatic. It also helps you track and control how you spend on transport, while reducing risks linked to handling cash. In simple terms, you load the card and use it every time you travel by just tapping and going.

@DaudiKabanda This is a good bill but with the rate of corruption in Uganda, it’s suicidal because we rely so much on international banks’ loans like World Bank, IMF, ADF, to facilitate government programs of which if it is passed, these banks will cancel all their projects with fines charged.

Protecting Uganda’s oil resources is essential to national security and economic stability. Without this law, Uganda risks instability similar to that seen in Somalia and Libya. The same groups that opposed the Pipeline are now sponsoring different groups to oppose this Bill. Any Ugandan concerned with national interest should support this legislation.

@Kenyans I’ve always doubted Kenyans calling their president a liar but on this particular issue, I can confirm he was lying to Kenyans because Uganda and Tanzania had already agreed earlier to support each other in the oil trade after Kenya had turned down our trade proposals with them.

@NeverBrokeAgen @sk_bongomin93 Killing Okello will set a permanent precedent for Ugandans to avoid killing one another especially children. Whereas a death sentence may not prevent future murder crimes, it will at least reduce the rate or prevalence of this heinous crime.
