Great balance of showing compassion while sharing truth as Wes Huff responds to the question of why a good God would allow evil:
"Well, that is arguably the hardest and most pressing apologetic question there is, because ultimately, the very tidy philosophical and theological answer isn't the right answer sometimes. You know, sometimes the right answer to the wrong question is the wrong answer, because I've encountered situations where someone has brought up a variation of the problem of evil to me, and I've just felt uneasy about maybe the tenor that they're coming at with the question...and asking them, 'You know, that's a great question. Why are you asking that question in particular?' and finding out once again (like the previous question related to it), they're personally hurting.
And so, in that sense, I could give a tidy answer about if you're positing that something is good, you're positing that there's an objective good and evil, and if there's an objective good and evil, then you're positing an objective law, and objective law needs an objective lawgiver. So where do we find the groundwork for an objective lawgiver to begin with? Otherwise, you may not like certain things, but to say they ought not to happen is actually an ethical leap to an objective reality that you may or may not have groundwork for.
But if that person is struggling because a family member of theirs has cancer, then that particular, maybe tidy, tied-up-in-a-nice-bow answer is not going to speak to them whatsoever. And so that's why that's the hardest question because there are actually very good answers to it, but often it doesn't speak to the person in front of you, because questions have questioners that sit behind them.
And one of the pitfalls of my chosen field of ministry apologetics is that sometimes we give answers where we talk at people rather than with people. And there's a danger to that because the Christian faith isn't just an intellectual assent, right? It's a personal relationship. And that should also be played out in the answers that we give..."

Please vote Labour today. The greens are cranks and reform are proto fascists aping trump. I know starmer is not great but the country is getting repaired. The snp have been in too long and are a zombie government. It’s time to change #localelections2026 #ukelections
English

Hope for @OneNationAus . The people have had enough.
Timjbo 🇦🇺@TimjboAU
#UKElections state of play. The left/right uniparty days are over. Reform are romping home.

@AusPoll6 This is why we can't vote our way out of the mess we're in.

If the Liberals weren't playing such filthy and pathetic politics in Farrer - maybe someone might actually vote for them 🙃
They'd rather tear apart a true conservative movement fighting for Australia instead of offering - oh I don't know - some actual polices?
25 years Sussan Ley had that seat - and what did she do with it?
What have the Liberals done with their decades of power?
Other than fluff the pillows for Labor.
What the Liberals are doing at the moment is unforgivable. They might think they're born to rule, but they have screwed conservatives over one too many times and never apologised - not once.

@LifeSpeedf @TimWilsonMP The only thing that matters at the moment is getting Labor out of power.

Moscow Mule MAGA Men 🇺🇸
Sitting the Bar
Tonight, I risked my life by sitting next to MAGA.
Went to my favorite bbq restaurant in town tonight for the Friday ribeye special. The bar staff are friendly and always take great care of me.
They asked where I wanted to sit at the bar, and I asked two blue collar gentlemen if I could sit in the empty seat between them. Like gentlemen, they scooted a little each and welcomed me warmly.
We stared at fútbol on the screen for a little bit. The man on my right asked for another drink and made some small talk with me. I know the man on the right saw my ID with my clearly masculine 2016 face when I got carded.
He didn't even react.
When my food came, the man on the left genially asked if I needed napkins or sauce from the basket to his left. When they were done, they each paid their tabs and wished me a good night in the way we only really do in small towns.
I boxed up my baked potato, paid, and left with warm smiles from the staff who know me.
These are MAGA men, in a MAGA Town, who I have been assured by ever liberal and leftist want me to cut short my existence. They were within a foot on either side of me for about forty-five minutes. What were they waiting for?
Oh yeah, nothing. Because they don't care how I live my life so long as I don't threaten them or their families. They don't walk around with violence in their hearts or on their minds.
They are just good, hard working people. I've been a transsexual living out in this small MAGA town for two years. No one here has been anything but wonderful to me. Most refer to me as "ma'am."
Maybe if the transgenders could let go of their hatred and their entitlements (not to mention their perversions), they could see that I have everything in my life that they claim to want.
I'm so honored to live with these people and to vote to support them for years to come.
They truly set the bar.

I'm a man with OCD presenting with transsexualism. I live within my liberties in this great country, but I take nothing from women.
I keep hoping sanity will prevail in these troubled times, though it is slow in coming. The damage from covid is not just in the past, but in the fractured social structure we struggle with.
I hope you'll join me sometime for a conversation or a coffee.
❤️,
Chrissy

@gmorg22 @TimWilsonMP Then they will continue to get the government they deserve.
English

@LifeSpeedf @TimWilsonMP Nice in theory but too many people are lazy and will just follow the how to vote card. That’s the reality.
English

@GabeNoWEF @TimWilsonMP Corruption is a different matter and needs to be addressed.
English

@LifeSpeedf @TimWilsonMP Didn’t work at the last Federal election for some reason. That’s why we need to be able to verify where our votes went after the votes have been counted.

Banksy art doesnt hit at all anymore, because liberal positions arent radical and subversive like they were when he started, they've become the Establishment.
Theres nothing remotely cool about art whose messaging reflects the official positions of Government, Corporate HR departments, mainstream media, academia, and every other mainstream institutional pillar of society.
This is like a group of hard-core activists marching down the street, clenched fists in the air chanting "Support the Power!"

A maniac wielding two knives got on my train today and because @JacintaAllanMP moved PSO’s off train stations I ands another brave man had to put ourselves between him and the women and children on the next carriage.
Then, despite being stopped at a station that USED to have PSO’s on it, we had to wait 20 minutes for cops to turn up while we hoped that he wouldn’t start stabbing.

Activist: "Those sheep are being exploited for wool."
Farmer: "They need shearing. Without it: heatstroke, fleece so heavy they can't stand, and fly strike. Flies lay eggs in wet wool. Maggots eat the sheep alive."
Activist: "In nature they wouldn't need it."
Farmer: "In nature they'd be dead. Domestic sheep aren't wild animals."
Activist: "You bred them to be dependent on you."
Farmer: "Yes. That's what domestication is. Ten thousand years of it."
Activist: "It's still exploitation."
Farmer: "They get relieved of ten pounds of wool that's killing them. We get wool. No petroleum. No microplastics in the waterways."
Activist: "They can't consent."
Farmer: "They also can't shear themselves."
Activist: "You should let them be natural."
Farmer: "You're wearing a North Face."
Activist: "What?"
Farmer: "Petroleum. Sheds microplastics every wash. Five hundred years in landfill."
Activist: "That's different."
Farmer: "There's a renewable, biodegradable fibre growing on that sheep right now. Needs removing or the animal suffers horribly."
Activist: "Just let them keep their wool."
Farmer: "I'll let you explain that to the sheep in August."
