@Jayaramceo @ArunKrishnan_ True . He has the talent but not the magic that Yesudas had for almost half a century . He shines in the devotional space though .
English

@ArunKrishnan_ Only high pitch works, no one comes close with the variety of emotions yesudas can convey. This particular singer madhu balakrishnan is great at high pitched, fast, loud stuff, but fails in the emotional feel aspect.
English

How does EVERY Malayali male singer sound like Yesudas?
Like how? Do they practise to sound like him? Or is it some weird genetic mutation that makes them all sound alike?
raga-learns-to-rock@pnamblat
I died of asthma attack just by seeing it :) Madhu Balakrishnan is so under rated .

An advt from Bombay Times of 8th Apr 1853, publisizing train timings.

Mumbai Heritage@mumbaiheritage
#OnThisDay | 16 April 1853 India’s First Passenger Train Runs Today, 173 years ago, India’s first passenger train journey took place between Bori Bunder (Mumbai) and Tannah (Thane). Built over a distance of ~34 km, the journey took 1 hour 20 minutes. The train had 3 classes, and the 3rd class fare was 6 annas & 5 paisa. #IndianRailways #Mumbailocal

@trainwalebhaiya The Wappie should have made a keema of him , just a nudge would have been enough

After the MG Majestor successfully pulled a train and set a Guinness World Record, Rider Sohel from West Bengal attempted to surpass it by pulling an entire train with his bike :)
While he couldn’t break the record, there’s a strong possibility that this act was carried out illegally, posing a serious risk to railway infrastructure.
Hope @RPF_INDIA and @AshwiniVaishnaw take strict action against such antisocial elements who can go to any extent for reels.

Was on #NDTV last night on the Nashik TCS issue.
The matter is sub juice now and let law take it's course.
However some matters have come to light and that's what I shared with the anchor-@ShivAroor who was professional and not part of any communal "slugfest".
The narrative of "Corporate Jihad" attempts to blame an entire community for the alleged actions of a few individuals.
Point is If harassment occurred over two years, why did the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) or HR department not act? This is a failure of POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) compliance, not a religious conspiracy.
People are aware that workplace harassment is a systemic issue affecting women across industries, regardless of the perpetrator's religion. Using a communal lens distracts from the urgent need to make corporate spaces safer for all women.
Entry into firms like TCS is based on rigorous testing and merit. To suggest a coordinated religious "infiltration" insults the professional integrity of the thousands of minority professionals who contribute to India's GDP and tech leadership.

A DPR is being prepared for 263 km doubling of the Konkan Railway to improve capacity and speed. The 740 km corridor connects Roha to Thokur.
So far, about 55 km has been doubled, including Roha-Veer and Madgaon-Majorda sections. The remaining work needs major investment and coordination among stakeholder states, as Konkan Railway Corporation Limited is jointly owned by Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa and Kerala.

People who have been to Kerala recently and specifically Wayanad, does it make more sense to rent a car or hire taxis as n when. Seeing ads for IndusGo (car rental). Is it any good? Plan to mostly stay in resorts but go around a little if baby (1y) permits.
Any tips/advice/recommendation will be helpful. Also thanks to all who gave recos in last post. 🙏

@SadaaShree The absolute worst was the South Indian stereotype . Mehmoods padosan character was the most irksome

Detailing has never been Bollywood's strong point. For a long time rural areas in Bollywood meant wearing Rajasthani costumes, speaking in some hybrid Bihari accent, females cavorting in waterfalls dressed in some kinda weird ghaghra choli type, evil Thakurs with Tilak lusting over females. Basically a Khichdi of everything.
It's only of late since 2010 there has been some effort to get the detailing on accents, dialects, rural , small town areas right. But even then still a long way to go.
I saw a Shahid Kapoor movie Batti Gul Something, set in Uttarakhand. But even for someone like me not from UKD, could immediately make out that the dialect they were having was so fake.
Even Bihari accents are not the right one, Bollywood thinks everyone there speaks only in Bhojpuri, that too not a very authentic version.
Forget about South or North East, Bollywood can't even get the Hindi belt or Punjab right.
Once upon a time Bollywood would have got away with it, but with more exposure to different kinda cinema, You Tube shorts they can't have the same lazy approach.
