Meryl Streep: The SAVE America Act, if that passes, all the married women that have changed their names are going have to go to the registrar and prove who they are. Otherwise, when you get to the voting booth in November, you might be disqualified, because your name on your birth certificate doesn't match the name on the voting rolls. I think that women need to be heard

I remain the lone Dem to vote with my Republican colleagues to fully fund DHS and get people paid.

@mattvanswol It’s totally insane. I was told by our company’s insurance broker that our health insurance is going up 59% at renewal. 59%!!!! It’s already insanely expensive with deductibles quadrupled what they were prior to Obamacare. The system is beyond broken.

Nearly a year ago, my wife went to the hospital for stomach pain. They did a CT Scan of her abdomen and thankfully didn't find anything serious.
We got a bill in the mail of $9,117.42
I spent months talking to insurance, the hospital, billing appeals...
I was told the claim was still processing.
I was told the claim was out of the normal service area.
I was told it wasn't clear it was medically necessary.
I was told the insurance wasn't valid on the date of service.
Finally, we got it handled, but it took well over 6 months from the day we got the first bill to the day we finished the process and paid.
We did everything right. We have insurance. We pay our insanely high premiums every single month.
It's just so frustrating.
This whole healthcare system is broken, from top to bottom.

My little girl and I watched the new Melania movie today. While watching, my daughter fixed her posture and started sitting up straight. She commented on Melania’s outfits, and after we finished, she went to put on her dress and nice shoes.
I realized the messaging we send to children matters. The influence we have over them is far greater than we think. We need to normalize young ladies acting like young ladies again, and little boys acting like gentlemen.
Thank you, Melania, for being a wonderful role model for millions of little girls everywhere.
