Houston ISD says it is aware of the recent allegations involving César Chávez.
In light of this, the HISD Board announced at this evening’s Board Meeting that the student & staff holiday currently scheduled for March 30, 2026, will be observed but designated as Farmworkers Day.

@LightBoxNews Cash for clunkers was a complete failure.
It only took in 0.6 million vehicles and most of those were on their way to the junkyard. Some even came from the junkyard and were patched up just enough to turn in.

You will never sell me on an electric vehicle. Im still pist that the govt did that "cash for clunkers" programme. They took away soooo many ungovernable cars and trucks.

A year ago, a group of us went to Austin to testify for legislation aimed at protecting our communities from the consequences of irresponsible bail reform. It was a long day. It was emotional. But in the end, it was successful.
I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done so far, and I’m looking forward to the next session to see how much more we can accomplish. I’m especially grateful to have stood alongside such strong, dedicated friends that day. 🫶🏼🦋 #TCVU
