The situation surrounding Destiny doesn’t sit well with me. My older brother and I played the Destiny demo together years ago in 2014. I remember he and I standing in the D1 tower, off to the right side where you can see the sun shining. And he said to me to me — “I can’t wait for virtual reality to become a thing”
Destiny is the kind of world you live in. We made lifelong friends and connections. I miss those days. It’s the kind of world that you can’t just let it die.
Here’s a petition currently live to get a Destiny 3 green lit so far has a almost 200,000 signatures —> c.org/qdmxhPMdCk
Until then, I’m going to enjoy playing this last update. Truly a beautiful world.
What’s your favorite Destiny story?
P.s here’s my hunter and current load out 😁

Sorry for the lack of posts and updates everyone. I ultimately decided I was in need of a break from social media and game development. My wife made it clear that I must take care of myself and give myself a break.
I have nonstop been working not just Treat Your Guest but other titles under my belt since November of last year.
I have been giving myself 1 day out of a month to not work and or 1 hour out of a day to give myself time before working.
All while working my 9-5 and being a dad and husband. I want this so bad, but I needed to rethink and re-energize.
As stated in a recent post I have decided to make smaller titles and release more frequently. It’s more healthy for me, and it took working this much to truly see what works for me.
I have some great news coming soon in the next few days, but for now, I will leave you all with an image of the main character for an upcoming release next month 🙂
Cheers 🥂

Starting small is absolutely the most logical advice to be given. Starting small has much less risk than putting years into a single project.

Just a reminder: CI Games was forced into the public gaming debate by selected media outlets over one simple paragraph in early January 2025.
On January 8, 2025, in an investor call with Polish investors, Ryan Hill said:
“We remain committed to producing player-first video games that prioritise an excellent user experience with compelling thematics and characters created specifically for core and adjacent audiences. While some video games have recently taken the opportunity to embed social or political agendas within their experiences, it is clear that many players do not appreciate this… we will not be integrating any social or political agendas into these experiences going forward.”
That statement was immediately reframed as anti-DEI and even transphobic by outlets like PC Gamer (“fear of the DEI boogeyman”), Rock Paper Shotgun, Eurogamer, TheGamer and others.
Saying we do not want to embed political or social agendas into our games is not the same as opposing diversity or inclusion. I am immensely proud of our NATURALLY diverse workforce — all of whom earned their place through skill, creativity, and expertise.
The media continuously forces us into the spotlight, but we refuse to stay silent. I went straight to our community with a clear poll: In a medieval fantasy action-RPG, do you prefer Body Type A/B or Male/Female? The results were overwhelming — Male/Female won by a massive margin (88% of the ~49.5k votes). This extremely strong community feedback only strengthened our Players First mission.
Lords of the Fallen II is being made for the soulslike community. It is a video game. Not a political statement.

Studio Update:
Hey everyone! Kameron here! So, I want to keep this update brief and to the point. I want to talk to about Treat Your Guest and plans for the studio as a whole.
I started production on Treat Your Guest in November of last year. Since then it has went through 3 reboots, and the version you all see today is what I consider to be its final iteration as far as narrative, gameplay, visuals, etc. Recently I reached the deadline of April 20th to have the demo completed.
Unfortunately, I ran into major issues regarding the save system, DLSS, Nvidia Reflex, and Frame-Gen as an option which has set me back quite a bit. I may simply remove the Nvidia options entirely as its proving more trouble than its worth. You guys let me know if you want these options, and i'll keep trying to make it happen.
On the other hand I took a step back from social media in general to think about what I want out of my game dev career. Ultimately, I don't want to spend years working a title. I want to make as many games as I can within a reasonable amount of time. I told myself that i'd be okay working on a game for up to a year. After thinking long and hard about what I truly want to do, I have decided to lower the time it takes for me to make a game.
Treat Your Guest will still launch, no worries there, but I have other smaller projects that I have been working on in my spare time. They take way less time to make, and overall are very fun for me. I will be releasing these smaller titles over the course of time as they only take me a few weeks to make. There is 1 small title I am working and is practically done tbh. I tested and packaged it up with Unreal and it came out extremely well optimized, buttery smooth without any issues. I will talk more about this horror title in the next few days.
This is a long winded post, but one that was necessary. I will continue to keep you all updated on Treat Your Guest, and my other other titles coming out. Stay tuned Light Fam! I have more news, coming very soon.

Game Dev Tip 💁🏽♂️
Make sure if you use sounds outside of Fab or Unity's marketplace, you check if those sounds require the following attribution from creators. This will help game devs and non game devs looking to create with limited resources stay compliant and avoid legal trouble. Cheers! 🥂

Eh. I have experimented with ai playing around with many assets that are no longer supported by a dev, utilized it to help me understand its code structure, and I take it from there. I’d argue from a coding standpoint, Ai has actually made working with different code structures and work flows much more easy to update, restructure, and comprehend. In my experience at least.
