@JuzuLive You have to realize there's nothing in this game that chains you to your lane, it's a common mistake for people getting Deadlock where they approach it like League in that doing *anything* that isn't 'stay in your lane and you BETTER win' is hard throwing. bad lane? then leave!

it's just I personally find it really unbalanced regardless if I'm the one who's winning or losing but maybe it's just takes a bit more time to get used to unfair match ups like drifter/paige vs apollo/calico (as an example) makes laning experience so miserable to the point that farming waves becomes barely possible even under the guardian, hence why i can't wait for ban system/roles implementation or something to make matches more a bit balanced

I think guardians should do way more damage at the early stage of the game, it's unbelievable how easy it is to dive people under the tower with the parry/escape abilities, the tower itself doesn't feel like a safe space at all, it should deal enough damage to make an enemy divers rethink 10 times and know their limits before pushing, what yall think?

@LightbringerO @crayonfps This is the absolutism i was talking about. Multiplayer games are more complicated than your widdow bwain understands. The problem with multiplayer is that sometimes more fun for one person is less fun for someone else. So certain fun things do more harm than good.

@LightbringerO @Einherjar2001 i can agree depending on the context of the game - deadlock attracts a casual audience so therefore the game may have to be balanced around them to make their experience a bit better hopefuly :)

@TorteDeLini because gold and experience are tied in this game, and additionally comeback mechanics are quite strong (urn, but also the pve stuff)... being poor or 'losing intentionally' can be an advantage to some extent.

In Dota 2, the laning stage is focused on improving because it dictates so much of your mid and even late-game. Efficiency and good fundamentals influence matches more than you think. Is it the same in Deadlock?

@VegasDeadlock the problem here is agency and the fact that most heroes don't actually get to play. the problem presented here could be inverted, instead buffing the rest of the cast giving them agency to do shit without +20k nw jungle insta dying past 15 is part of the problem too.

Deadlock also has this problem where the strongest late game heroes are the absolute strongest heroes at the start of the game too 🤣, mirage shiv geist Billy have no weak points in the game

More mid game objectives to force carries to stop afk farming and participate in meaningful focused fights around 10-20 minute mark would do wonders for deadlock, funneling souls to an op hero so they can 1v6 isnt a very sustainable gameplay loop, not fun either
