Feedback from the grant (and paper submission) rejections I have been getting is super helpful. The gist is that I need to continue to learn how to simply explain seemingly complicated methods and processes in my work. Science communication is super important #academia #science

@njoybetz I tend to say that everyone is a novice personality psychologist and we are all trying to analyze each other every day, but I just know the words for what the concepts are LOL. Every interaction elicits thinking & analyzing to some degree about the other person or yourself :)

(pt 2) One student approached me after class to say they really appreciated that I wanted to learn all of their names if possible. They told me that this class was their largest and it was v special that I wanted to connect with them in this way. Win of the day! #academia

(pt 1) In my class each student gets a name tag so everyone can see each other's names. I have extra paper during class so if they forget to bring it they can make a new one.....

Teaching personality psychology to 60 undergraduates while being a PhD student is insanely time-consuming but also incredibly rewarding and heart-warming... A THREAD (mostly to document the amazing things undergraduates are capable of when you empower them in class)

I can't look anywhere without seeing the warnings about ChatGPT and plagiarism....but what about a research AI that can assist in literature reviews? Seems like a cool (and free) resource to check out. #AI #chatgpt #research #psychology Has anyone tried this?
