It took a night to reflect and think back on what we saw. I spoke with two active General Managers, two former General Managers, multiple Special Assistants, Scouting Directors, Assistant Directors of Scouting, Area Scouts, Crosscheckers, and others across the spectrum who were in attendance yesterday. None of us can recall ever seeing a high school player in a live game hit a ball as with a wood bat as far as Easton Autrey did. It went about 20 rows up, with a playable exit velocity of around 112 mph — off a 95 mph fastball, left-on-left, in game competition. Beyond that single swing, at least six evaluators in attendance said they counted between 10 and 12 potential first-round picks on the field. The gameplay, execution, approach, and baseball IQ on display this weekend made it one of the most impressive events I’ve ever seen — both in performance and in ceiling. #WeGotNow
