@RyanMcbeth You should start by doing it here instead of threatening to do it in a theoretical debate. I think Dave’s blowback narrative is incomplete and sometimes selectively applied but why posture instead of just delivering the goods?

@tweetingmatty @centermass1976 @AP4Liberty If you gave the synopsis above to the average person who has listened to hours and hours of Smith/Woods/Horton/Cooper podcasts but attributed it to FDR instead of Mises, i suspect they’d think it represents typical American empire thinking and be shocked that it’s actually Mises

Neocon is the insult of the plebs. Last I checked Bill Kristol and John Bolton had been defenestrated. Are we going to seriously suggest Marco Rubio isn't at least something of a neocon and that he isn't a fantastic secretary of state? JD Vance has supported the conflict. Is he a neocon. Neoconned was a great speech by Ron Paul I would highly recommend people actually read and consider in that context and then look at who is in power right now and it's not neocons. It's MAGA Trump populists. Graham is effective insofar as he actually has a constituency whereas the isolationists have none.

@centermass1976 @AP4Liberty It started with Rothbard - he applauded Khrushchev during his 1959 visit to the UN General Assembly that year. But it's gone to wild levels with the Horton/Antiwar.com having completely taken over their FoPo thinking.

@centermass1976 @AP4Liberty Mises' 1944 "Omnipotent Government: The Rise of the Total State and Total War," described Nazism as a profound threat and said that the Nazi program of world hegemony could only be stopped by the Allies smashing it decisively. Today the Mises institute would call him a neocon.

@AP4Liberty If Mises were alive today they would call him a neocon because the Lew Rockwell types can’t even figure out who the enemy was 70 years ago-the people who ran Mises right out of Austria.

@LevPo @captive_dreamer @restoreorderusa Yes and no. Dave Smith of 2018 would not have glazed someone saying the things that Tucker and Candace etc…say now, but he still would have talked to them. And he’s been consistently anti-war. I do think audience capture has led him to glaze people like that though.

@jwsherrod @ComicDaveSmith It's interesting that supersessionism is more important to a lot of them than shared faith in Christ. It's the axis on which their friend/enemy distinction hinges. A jew who is useful to upholding that, like Smith, can be a friend; Christians who aren't, are enemies.

This is the same mockery that @ComicDaveSmith frequently employs to undermine Christian support for Israel. Dave Smith's not religious, so I don't expect him to understand how stupid this is, but Dave DeCamp is a practicing Christian. He knows better. (Or should.)

@PaperhackWriter @ConceptualJames Russia was provoked bc of unofficial and in no way legal or binding handshake agreements in the early 90s and passive nato “encirclement,” but Israel wasn’t provoked by mass purposeful slaughter of civilians on October 7.

@ConceptualJames A great example of this is how so many "anti-war" libertarians bend over and say "NATO provoked Russia" -- rather than just admit that Putin is an aggressor spreading tyranny, libertarians have to maintain through fan-fic that the US government is the real villain.

@ComicDaveSmith @GadSaad @joerogan How can someone have an honest conversation with you when you can't even admit the basic fact that Islamic terrorism is rooted in Islam and not grievences? If you can't even admit basic facts written in scriptures, there's no point in engaging in a conversation with you.

Dear @ComicDaveSmith, I'll engage with you here because you were apparently very upset on your most recent appearance on @joerogan's podcast. I don't engage with your positions because in a world of fixed resources, one does not have the time to engage with everyone in possession of an opinion. You've managed to catapult yourself onto the conversation; more power to you. Quantum physicists should not bother with my opinion on the topic since I readily admit that I'm hardly an expert in that field; I dare venture that my knowledge of quantum physics (very little) is orders of magnitude higher than your "knowledge" of Israel and the Middle East. I have epistemological humility; you possess none. Cheers.

Let's take this piece by piece. Do we have any answers at all for Butler, PA? No, not really. For such a monumental event in American history the complete lack of interest in giving us any narrative at all has been shocking. More shocking, Trump himself avoids the topic like the plague. Does that math? No. Trump never shuts up about his achievment both real and fictional. But the most courageous moment of his life, standing up after dodging 8 bullets, he never brings it up. Nothing to see here, sure. Is there reason to believe Trump is under threat? Yes. Who would that threat originate from? Based on his actions - campaigning on America first and then becoming the most Israel first cuck in history - it's fair to suspect he is in their employ. Voluntarily or coercively. Epstein coverup, Iran war, Adelson fealty etc. Would Israel use or threaten political assassination to dictate foreign policy? YES. No country on earth does so more often or more brazenly. The only country that comes close would be my own, America. It's not just fair to wonder if either the US or Israeli government were behind the Crooks attack, it is analytical malpractice to dismiss it out of hand. OK now for the Joe Kent claim. Kent didn't say Israel did it. He said Trump fears for his life and it's worth looking into. It is. The only one in La La Land is you, Coleman. As per usual. But seeing as your entire career is dedicated to carrying water for Israel, no one should be surprised.
Coleman Hughes@coldxman

Some ppl have been bamboozled by Joe Kent's "just asking questions" routine, and have failed to detect his bizarre insinuation that Israel may have tried to kill Trump (a truly crazy idea to entertain IMO). Yes, Kent did insinuate that Israel might have been behind the Butler attempt on Trump's life. But you need to listen to Tucker's question in order to see the insinuation. The timestamped link is in the tweet below. Tucker asked, in essence: Since it's clear that Israel pushed Trump into this war, what kind of pressure do you think they applied? Kent answered, in essence: There are two possibilities [of pressure Israel could have applied]. First, it could be the lobbyists in his ear. Or second, it could be much darker. We still don't know what happened at Butler, we don't know what happened to Charlie Kirk, but we know Trump feels like his life is threatened. In the context of Tucker's question, that is a clear insinuation that Israel might have been behind both Butler and Charlie Kirk. How else can you read it? The hedging he does immediately afterwards––"by no means am I saying Israel did this or that"––doesn't undo the insinuation. It just clarifies that it is an insinuation, rather than a confident statement of Kent's beliefs. Either way, it shows that Kent is in La La Land.
