People give you what they are, not what you deserve, what you deserve, you give to yourself.

Know that it is not the thing that is not good for you that you are being tempted by, it is actually the mind assuming the form of that thing. Just replace the name of the object you're craving with "mind" and it's easy not to act on it, for who wants to be a slave of the mind?

Much of "overthinking" is just an unwillingness to be still The need for certainty, to interpret, to be further along, to overstimulate, to chase, to feel lack -- these are all signs you’re looking for peace outside yourself, that you're trying to live somewhere God has not placed you at all

How is self love built? When you’re sitting here and your body is raging and begging for it’s addictions and comforts of the predictive chemical cocktail and programs it’s been running for years sending signals to the brain to feed it and instead of reacting, you sit with it. You sit with it till your body acquiesces. Once the body surrenders, from you sitting with it and teaching yourself you’re safe to be here, this is how we become free and return to Love within.

In the Divine Comedy, Dante defines the Soul's influence on the personality as "l'amor che ditta," or "the love that dictates"... almost as if inner work is more akin to a dictatorship than to unicorns and rainbows. May New Age philosophies rest in peace.

Don't fear anyone, anything, anywhere. Remember Who goes with you.

The best possible state is in absolute contentment with where you are while doing the best with what you have and living your best inspired life creatively from the inside out. Fully embodied, fully present in reality.

Most people, when they are young and brainwashed, construct fake stories in their minds that bear no resemblance to reality or truth. They end up wasting their entire lives entangled in these irrelevant illusions. Very few ever truly live. The rest spend their entire lives suffering the consequences of their own fabrications. They suffer from things that don’t even exist. Those who don’t learn to unlearn as soon as they can end up wasting themselves.

Give your stubbornness, recalcitrance, insubordination, mischief, impishness, and waywardness all the tenderness, compassion and mercy you can while continuing to move steadfastly toward the light.

Take this approach with others too - any force turns ppl off a direction they might naturally resonate with otherwise.

Ironically, easing mind pressure off an intention to change something about oneself allows the choice to naturally be made without the instinctive aversion to one's hand being forced.

The mind can be a busy, bossy little sparrow trying to train up the skylark of one's whole being. Evolution is a slow natural blossoming toward the light, not a righteous military-style whipping of oneself to fit into the shape of a sanitised ideal.

So how should we live? Open, balanced, reverent, as if we were holding a feather, for life is even more precious and fragile than an insubstantial feather, a breath, a whisper.

Life is ending at every moment - whatever we experience in each unrepeatable fleeting moment is over forever as the moment ends.
