My dream scenario for the remainder of LA’s offseason:
• Renounce Bennedict Mathurin.
• Offer Derrick Jones Jr. and a 2030 second-round pick via Toronto in a sign-and-trade for Peyton Watson.
• Sign Watson to a descending 4-year $110 million that starts at $31.0 million with a team option in the fourth year.
• Utilize the $15.1 million MLE to sign Rui Hachimura to a 2-year $30.9 million deal with a team option.
• Utilize the $17.9 million TPE created in the John Collins sign-and-trade with Detroit plus a 2033 second-round pick via Toronto to absorb Lu Dort’s $17.7 million expiring contract.
________
Final Roster:
PG: Darius Garland
SG: Lu Dort
SF: Brandon Ingram
PF: Peyton Watson
C: Brook Lopez
—
6: Keaton Wagler
7: Rui Hachimura
8: Kris Dunn
8: Yanic Konan Niederhauser
9: Kobe Sanders
10: Jordan Miller
11: Isaiah Jackson
12: Gradey Dick
13: Baba Miller
14: Cam Christie
@Alex_PorterEnt@Shametfor3@APH00PS Darius and trey are the same age.. Watson is the better defender by a wide margin, but trey shoots the ball as efficiently, shooting 4-5 more threes a game, hes a all around wing with alot of explosiveness and hes shown he can be a monster when given the chance
@Likedatfrll@Shametfor3@APH00PS You must not of watched Peyton Watson play or shoot.
He’s a 2 way player. Elite defender, shoots 40+ from 3, and is younger than Mathurin. Which fits the age timeline of Garland, Yanic, Keaton Wagler, Baba Miller, and Kobe Sanders.
The Raptors made a blockbuster push for Kawhi Leonard, offering Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and a 1st-round pick!
However, the Clippers consider Toronto's pitch "one-sided". 🔍🔥
