Today, 9 September 2021, I managed to SUCCESSFULLY DEFEND my PhD Dissertation at UNAM. What a sigh of relief! The cloud of stress, sleepless nights that was hanging above my head has been removed. I thank God for the blessings of a supportive wife throughout this journey.

Not so long ago, I was a free man, no political constraints. Then I agreed, voluntarily to join Government. Tjoooo! Free but not free!! You have to obey the majority/collective decisions! Sometimes it feels like swallowing a rock!😳

@felixn1904 The catch is...we wont become independent as long as we remain pegged. We had 30 yrs of growing up and preparations to unpeg but we continue to live under this illusion that we wont survive.

@LikukelaMally You're right but Namibia isn't yet ready to unpeg from ZAR cos we aren't economically independent. our GDP growth is in a mess still at 0.9%, way far behind that of Botswana (4.1%). Corruption here is rife, food and energy import istill at 70%. Let's first fix all these!

@felixn1904 Fear of the unknown... that is what the colonizers made us believe...until 1990. Botswana unpegged and survived....even became better. Everything had a price and it seems we are not ready to pay so we hid behind this illusion.
