@sketching204 Spider-Verse is a movie that *has* fanservice, balanced by other aspects that would carry the film well even without it.
Whereas with Mario, the movie in itself *is* fanservice, in that it's sole thing driving every single aspect of making it.

Lord and Miller films show that the mario movies reliance on references, action aren't bad but the problem is they forget to build up stakes like fleshing out the cast, story
Like if they fixed that, I'm sure critics would be nicer to these movies IMO

Just saying, if Z3 uses the birds to implement actual, straight up musical numbers into the movie, I'd honestly be totally okay with that.

Seeing as Daisy’s pretty much confirmed to be the next movie, I need her… bare minimum… to match Luigi’s freak, if not exceed it.
We’ve already got two levelheaded girlbosses, I desperately need Daisy to be an unpredictable wild card.

Whereas showing the younger one implies the "real" Anakin really was destroyed on Mustafar, and even after stopping Palpatine he still died consumed by the dark side.

@julianmiflaco I remember the original teaser trailer implying the movie was going to be more of a comedic take on Beauty And The Beast - i.e. Naveen is stuck as a frog and human Tiana gradually falls in love with him that way - so that could maybe be a fun route for a remake to take.

If Disney ever announces a live action The Princess and Frog, I need the right people involved and I want production to take their time. I don’t want a direct copy and paste. I don’t think a lot of people would want to see Tiana as a frog for most of the movie again. I still think whoever plays Tiana is a late Gen Z/early Gen Alpha. 😂
