I am pleased to announce that my motion has passed with 99% approval rate! I have been so overwhelmed with the feedback from MSYPs and the huge support this motion has had in consultations It’s definitely been a journey and couldn’t of be done without the amazing @kimhuntercld

#SYP79 is complete, we finished the sitting with training workshops, subject committee meetings, members motions and a final vote. We then had an incredible opportunity to tour the island and learn lots about Orkney’s history before heading home on the midnight ferry.✨

An amazing first day of #SYP79 debating new policy, participating in anti-racism in education training led by the amazing @CrisantosMSYP and The Movement, consulting with the Scottish Parliament, working on SYP campaigns and a night of Ceilidh Dancing with the live band 🪩✨

This weekend has been an incredible opportunity to meet MSYPs from all across Scotland. We shared ideas, advice and strategies to improve the work we do in each of our constituencies ✏️📚 Thank you so much to all the SYP staff and board that were able to make this happen! #SYP78

What an unreal few days i’ve had. • from debating members and committee motions •to catching up with the amazing health and well-being committee • to meeting everyone and having such a surreal experience BIG thanks to all the syp staff who made this happen @OfficialSYP

Day 2 of SYP78: @OfficialSYP - We all debated Committee motions, and voted on all members and committee motions. 🗳️ - I also got the chance to catch up with the Jobs, Economy and Fair work Committee to discuss important issues surrounding strikes and workers rights. 📊

❤️ This morning at #SYP78, MSYPs spoke openly and honestly on issues very personal to them and their friends, family and constituents including grief and loss as well as neurodiversity. An inspiring group of young people passionate for change here in Scotland!

All of our MSYP’s including myself are completing our last Intercultural Youth Scotland’s Restless Native’s Anti-Racist training sessions this week. The program gave us the chance to learn more about using our knowledge to educate and challenge others. Thank you! @InterculturalYS

Happy pride month! This month gives us time to celebrate the great achievements of the community and the progress that has been made so far. However there is still work to be done, by coming together we can all be apart of the movement to ensure safety and equality for all. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Just voted for the first time today in the local Council Elections.😁 Voting is STILL open until 10pm. Please if you haven’t already get out and vote. It’s so important that as young people we have our views represented in our democracy, every vote makes a difference!!
