This is a moment of great instability, with unprecedented disruption to energy supplies. Thanks to our strong finances, Government has agreed a €250 million package of targeted, temporary, and affordable interventions to cushion the worst impacts of this price shock.

@Cathal1798 @ClionaQ Only have a small system Cathal. 8 panels due to roof size. No battery as we are away a lot. Bills more than halved in that time so definitely recommend. With more panels and a battery your performance will be much better. End of Oct to March they really do drop off though.

Dublin Lord Mayor Ray McAdam has been selected as the Fine Gael candidate for the upcoming Dublin-Central byelection. I asked him if he thinks the inner city has gotten safer over the past 15 years that Fine Gael has been in office. His answer coming soon on @GriptMedia

Regarding Cadbury's imitation Chocolate. Mondelēz global multinational company bought out Cadbury from Kraft in 2012, they also own Oreo and Toblerone and Ritz. Only a small amount is made in Birmingham, it's mostly made worldwide. I am now boycotting all Mondelēz products

Government is very conscious of the impact volatile energy prices are having. It is a very serious situation. Our immediate priority is to try and alleviate pressures on people, on families, and doing so in a way that protects the economy and avoids adding to inflation.

Fine Gael knows that families are struggling with rising energy costs, as a result of the conflict in the Middle East. We’re now working on plans to help alleviate those pressures, which will be finalised at the next Cabinet meeting.

@BillyKelleherEU They also employ 100's of people at their Limerick facility in Raheen who have equally been impacted as have all staff at their other 70 locations worldwide. Neutrality has absolutely nothing to do with this.

This is a real example of why being neutral is not in itself a guarantee of not being attacked. Stryker's Cork base impacted by global cyber attack. Ireland has to up its game in both military and cyber defence. Remember Russian aggression against HSE. rte.ie/news/business/…
