Great to see Australian Mining highlight the continued momentum behind our Syerston Scandium Project. Originally designed to produce 60 tonnes of high-purity scandium oxide annually, we are now working with GR Engineering Services on a concept study to assess an expansion to 180 tonnes per year at Syerston, given the growing strategic importance of scandium. “Sunrise Energy Metals is targeting a final investment decision (FID) on its Syerston Scandium Project in New South Wales in the September quarter, and the company is already studying whether the mine should be three times larger,” reporter @mikaelahenschel noted. “Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with first production targeted for mid-2028.” @ozmining also highlighted our recent acceptance into the NSW Critical Minerals Royalty Deferral Scheme, engineering progress ahead of construction, and increasing interest from global scandium users supplying the defence, aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.
