@Naz_981 @HezeriSamsuri @anthonyloke @anwaribrahim @teamnurulizzah u read too much propaganda! admittedly, there are bad behaviours from some people but these are not mainstream society and you are just quoting from the social media feeds of China haters .. it's like saying all of Arsenal is crap - maybe not, right?

@LinChungCN @HezeriSamsuri @anthonyloke @anwaribrahim @teamnurulizzah China ppl respect the law and societal norms? I can't say much about law but if cutting queue, screaming and shouting when things don't go their way, spitting on the floor and crapping in public is a societal norm in China then they're really citizens of the world

Either we be super strict, or we will have more of such disaster. Kalau kita nak ikut sangat China, then kita ikut sekali hukuman amat berat ke atas pesalah laku. Undang-undang sekarang, ramai amek remeh.

@MatDurh @HezeriSamsuri @anthonyloke @anwaribrahim @teamnurulizzah 4. when the Gov depends on corps $$$ and citizens' votes, how can they hv the resolve to pass laws that will damage this relationship? who was the schmuck that introduced discounts on traffic summons? why'd they do that? it undermines the laws that is used to protect the people!

@MatDurh @HezeriSamsuri @anthonyloke @anwaribrahim @teamnurulizzah 1. yes, u are right .. and there are still issues like that in the villages and towns that have not caught up. It's a huge country after all; China is far from perfect - look at the E-bike situation which is certainly a headache for any Gov, but they try to ease this by building

RAIN RAVE DISASTER MALAYSIA DESERVES BETTER THAN CITY-CENTRE HEDONISM, MINISTER MUST RESIGN Rain Rave was presented as a tourism breakthrough, but many Malaysians saw it as a failure of judgment The three-day festival turned Bukit Bintang into a water-soaked dance floor from April 30 to May 2 Because it was organised by Motac, the controversy was not merely about private entertainment Public roads, public authority and Malaysia’s national image were involved The objection was not simply to music, celebration or youth culture The deeper objection was to the government’s priorities Many critics felt the event was culturally tone-deaf and unsuitable for Malaysian values Religious concerns were also raised over morality, public conduct and social norms Bukit Bintang was already crowded, commercial and difficult to manage Turning it into a rave-style water festival created disruption that should have been expected The negative impact included congestion, public inconvenience, noise and pressure on local order Businesses, pedestrians and ordinary road users should not be forced to bear the cost of a government spectacle Water, crowding and high-energy partying in a dense city centre also increased safety and management risks Security concerns on the final day showed why such events need stricter judgment before approval Large crowds do not automatically prove good policy Spectacle is not the same as cultural dignity. Tourism should promote Malaysia’s heritage, faith, arts, food, nature and family-friendly identity Instead, Rain Rave looked like an imported party concept forced into a sensitive public space To many critics, the West already shows how hedonism can weaken society when pleasure becomes the highest public value When entertainment replaces restraint, family duty, modesty, faith and communal responsibility are slowly eroded Malaysia should not import the same emptiness and call it progress If the minister believes so strongly in this concept, he should test it in a properly controlled Sarawak venue instead of imposing it on Kuala Lumpur’s crowded city centre Sarawak has wider spaces, tourism zones and local authority structures that could manage such an event with less disruption The minister’s defence made the issue worse. Telling critics not to attend ignored the fact that the state itself organised the event Rain Rave exposed a gap between government spectacle and public values For that failure of judgment, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing should resign or face serious Cabinet review

The three-day Rain Rave Water Music Festival (RRWMF) made its debut on the streets of Bukit Bintang, turning the usually congested streets into a high-energy, water-soaked dance floor. Organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac), the festival ran from April 30 to May 2 and featured international and local DJs alongside cultural showcases and other attractions. From becoming a topic of political debate to drawing massive crowds and witnessing a heroic bystander intervention on its final day, here are some highlights from RRWMF 2026, which was also held in conjunction with World Labour Day celebrations.

Polis Bantuan Punca? Info lanjut kejadian menyusul...-MYNEWSHUB

Video from China: An elderly woman lies fallen in the rain on the roadside. One man, recording video: “I’m filming right now. Should we help her up together?” Another man replied: “Better not. You don’t know how she really fell. What if she tries to (extort us) later?” This is the direct legacy of the infamous 2006 Peng Yu case in Nanjing. A young man kindly helped a fallen elderly woman — only to be sued by her. The judge ruled against him, famously implying that “normal people wouldn’t help if they weren’t responsible.” Under CCP rule, fear of being scammed or sued has killed compassion. People no longer dare to do good deeds. #EndCCP #RealChina #China #PengyuCase
Aric Chen@aricchen

Video from CCP China shows an elderly man collapsed on a rainy sidewalk while bystanders film instead of helping. This heartbreaking “bystander effect” stems from fear of being sued. Background: The infamous 2006 Peng Yu case (Xu Shoulan v. Peng Yu) in Nanjing. A young man helped an elderly woman who fell and took her to the hospital. She sued him, claiming he caused her fall. Despite weak evidence, the court ruled he pay 40% of her medical costs, reasoning: “No one would help a stranger unless they felt guilty.” This precedent created widespread fear — helping could lead to extortion or lawsuits — eroding public willingness to assist strangers. Similar incidents followed, reinforcing the hesitation. This explains the scene in the video — recording instead of intervening is often a defensive response to avoid potential legal risks. #RealChina #CCPChina #EndCCP #China #PengyuCase #CCP

@pit5000 @aricchen that’s not really true; in cases of litigation, court can request access to any Gov apparatus exp. Phone companies, Traffic / PSB footage etc .. laws are made for the people, so it’s not as difficult as perceived
