This has been Big Climate's talking point the past few days.
The FACT is that Canada has been colder than average so far in 2026. Climate change has had nothing to do with the fires.
And, historically, most of these fires are arson.

This is what climate change looks like, by the way. We can talk about all the data, the numbers, the why, etc. But this is what it actually means. This is why it matters. Climate change didn't start the Canadian fires. But it made fire weather exponentially more likely.

Look, I understand why Canadians don’t think favorably of the US at the moment. I really do.
