@Linkman0596 @KageKaiser @KaiserNeko Yeah, but at some point, something’s gotta give. Either they make a filler arc or two, or they go on hiatus until the manga’s at a far enough point.

@KageKaiser @KaiserNeko I doubt they actually have the option to, they've probably been more or less renewing the same contract for one piece since they first licensed it, trying to renegotiate it now to go to a season format would also involve renegotiating costs based on current popularity.

@KaiserNeko I wonder if the fact that the anime being really close to the manga release schedule has something to do with it? Then again Toei could've just changed to Season/Cour format, but I don't think Toei even done that once.

@TilFolkvang Did you ever play that PS3 game haze? They tried to have a take on this in a potentially interesting way. Didn't necessarily stick the landing but worth checking out if you're thinking about this stuff.
