#CLHEI #ChristmasKitchen2024 To share in the spirit of Christmas, CLHEI supported 420 Households with food items and 1000 women, children and men with clothes. Beneficiaries were drawn from Children, the Elderly, PWDs, Pregnant Women and Lactating mothers.

CLHEI aims to raise awareness on GBV and its impact on women and girls, advocate for the elimination of GBV, promote gender equality, support survivors of GBV and contribute to creating a safer and equitable society for women and girls, including within institutions of learning.

The key highlights of the memorable event was a presentation on the overview of GBV, presentation on VAPP Law, a projection of extracts from CLHEI GBV archives, a drama on GBV and a panel session.

One of the significant challenges in Nigeria’s security sector is the lack of inclusive policies. This has been a growing concern for Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), which has consistently championed gender inclusivity in governance and security reform.

CLHEI is driving forward good menstrual hygiene practices & products to help women & girls live in environments that value and supports their ability to manage their menstruation with dignity.

#CLHEI #MenstrualHygiene Our volunteer team continues to train women and girls in schools and displacement settings on making reusable sanitary pads. These pads over time have proved to be hygienic, cheaper, comfortable and sustainable (since they can be used more than once).

This initiative over the last 3years has resulted in the training of over 120 individuals on Volunteering and has facilitated the placement of some of the beneficiaries under CSOs/CBOs for mentoring.

#CLHEI #CapacityBuilding CLHEI conducted her Annual Human Resource and Capacity Development Training for 17youths eager to volunteer in the Humanitarian/Development context in Nigeria.

#CLHEI #InternationalDayofClimateAction CLHEI commemorated the International Day of Climate Action prioritizing children at the forefront of Climate Action through continued Climate Education across Primary and Secondary Schools in Benue State.

The Peace Rally had civil society organizations, community members of conflict-affected communities, MDAs, Youth groups and security members coming together under one voice to call for peace, unity and non-violence in Benue State.
