@hari_miller Good at the start then just massive plot holes towards the end which ruins it

@CMooreAnderson Also, wind speed is often a bit of a tricky one (as wind speed increases so does rate of transpiration) but, at very high wind speed, the stomata close to minimise water vapour loss so very windy the rate then starts to decrease
English

@CMooreAnderson Just one point - at a level the exam boards usually require reference to water vapour (rather than just water) when referencing air spaces and atmosphere

@MissRimmer78 @chatbiology @KJF239 @edwards_dr2 @mrsjmasters Google image search for mitosis brings up lots of great images - both cartoon style for building confidence and then microscopy to stretch - sorry I’m
Not tech savvy enough on my phone to paste the google links but there are so many to choose from
English

@chatbiology does anyone have good pictures for mitosis and cell cycle to help inexperienced low confidence yr12 identity phases and describe pmat?? @KJF239 @edwards_dr2 @mrsjmasters

@DanHaygarth1 @danielblakeplay I saw it today - so powerful and raw……should be compulsory viewing for Daily Mail readers

Was deeply moved by 'I, Daniel Blake' at the Playhouse last night.
A powerful rallying cry for decency and compassion, even more pertinent than when the film was released seven years ago.
Barely a dry eye in the theatre as it came to an end

@BreamGeorge @TeachLeadAAli You need to claim it and pay it back to qualify for NI contributions if one partner doesn’t work

@KatLawrence 25th April DNA day - also has an annual essay competition

I'm on the hunt for an AMAZING tutor for A Level Biology to support a BRILLIANT Yr12 student on her quest to become a Vet. 🐶🦒🐀🦔
Need someone familiar with AQA to help develop exam technique and who can deliver virtually.
Her current predicted grades are...
A* Psychology
A Chemistry
A Biology
She's super dedicated and coachable. 💪

We are excited to introduce two new members of team science! Our stick insects need names so we are kicking off science week on Monday with a chance to come to N3 at lunchtime to meet them and put your name ideas into the ballot. @SchoolWeydon let us know your suggestions!

English

@MissNawaz2 @chatbiology If they draw it for their team mates and correctly guess it’s 3 marks (pictionsry style)…..or if they act it out (charades) and correctly guessed it’s 10 points . Do as a whole class with lots of rounds
English

@MissNawaz2 @chatbiology I write loads of biology words on paper and put them folded in a bag. Two teams and they take turns to have 1 minute to pick out as many words as possible and get their team to correctly guess them. If they verbally describe the word they get 1 point (taboo style)…
English

Calling all A level biology teachers! Does anyone have a revision quiz for OCR A level biology? Looking to do something more fun for the very last lesson with year 13! @chatbiology Thank you!
English

@simiisme I have laminated sets of different ones to highlight various different issues/types of graph - takes a lot less time that students drawing their own out during lesson time
English

@simiisme Give them some badly drawn graphs (inconsistent scale, missing axes titles or units, incorrect plotted points, poor line of best fit etc…whatever your main bug bears are) and ask them to identify the problems/mistakes
English

@davetidswell1 No worries - I teach a level not Irish LC so there would be a few other specific language tweaks would have to be made to use this for A level - I love the format/style of these - what software package are you using to make them
English

@Linner0151 Jaysus! Thanks Lyndsay!! The lack of sleep was getting to me there 😅 Attorney General is Pure for the base types! And I must have been cooking with thyme 😂😂
English

@mrsjmasters @LouiseSnape7 I think the final stage of the worked calculation is missing on this image - need to divide by 40 to get answer per minute - it will then match the mark scheme on the left (which this current view doesn’t)…. Or maybe I’m missing the second page as I’m not hugely tech savvy
English

A few more worked examples for Alevel maths questions added thanks to @LouiseSnape7
Keep them coming :)
