@SteveDarlingMP Thank you for your support. With myself been a carer who can't actually work with the amount of care I do, it would have been better to implement a carers allowance rise rather than incresed threshold, as we still have to do the care for 35 hrs a week which is full time care.

Just now I challenged the Chancellor on the rushed and severe welfare cuts that will hit the most vulnerable in our society. While benefit reform is necessary, this approach is ill-conceived and unfair. Balancing the nation’s books shouldn’t come at the expense of those who need support the most. We must protect the vulnerable, not punish them. I’ll continue to stand up for a fairer, more compassionate system. You can watch my speech below.
