(PS) Drug use doesn’t produce the grave skill deficit I’m referring to in this thread. Nor does autism. You could argue that *wealth* does—decades of receiving almost no pushback from subordinates, advisers or fans—but even then, his resistance to self-improvement is astonishing.

The only pattern I’ve been able to detect in this man is that he uses whatever method of reasoning gets him to the result his many biases have predetermined. A person like this cannot be reasoned with, negotiated with, or dealt with profitably in business. They are best avoided.

While I’m not in a position to gauge Elon Musk’s intelligence, I certainly do have the expertise to assess that Musk *presents* as having below-average intelligence, at least in part because of his almost cartoonishly poor logic skills for a man of his age and career advancement.
