I'm convinced Lutein09 is just engagement farming now on Youtube because if he actually read a couple of Warhammer 40,000 novels, he'd know that the limited breadth of minis that exist on tabletop do not represent the potential extent of machines available to the Imperial Guard. Gaunt's Ghosts by itself as a series has dozens of Imperial Guard vehicles with no minis, or even a picture. Just a description by Abnett. Tanks and IFVs, fighters both in and out of atmosphere. And that's just one book series. It's also hypocritical of him. As one of the biggest Youtubers who pushes the "Warhammer 40k has no canon" fallacy, he then turns and says, "This vehicle existing violates canon because we never heard of it before!" You can't have both, Lutein. The new Guard vehicles are fine. You claim to be a "lore expert" but certainly can't comprehend it.

This is her dumbest take. Monopolies form naturally. Monopolies are much more profitable than competitive industries. So if you find yourself in a competitive industry, it makes sense to buy out or collude with all your competitors, or to temporarily take a loss in order to drive them out of business. The government itself is a naturally-forming monopoly on violence. Ayn Rand is frequently guilty of this kind of magical thinking in which everything would be perfect if the government just disappeared. Well, there are still large parts of Africa today in which there is effectively no government. Is it utopia? Meanwhile the Industrial Revolution could not have taken place without the financial incentives put in place by intellectual property law such as patents, which require an incredibly strong government to enforce. The right really needs to get away from this whole “everything the government does is bad” loser mindset.

You can tell Reddit doesn't engage with 40k because the Grox and artificial leather both exist but they make up headcanon to suit their biases. The factions that use human leather are Chaos, Drukhari, and possibly Genestealers and Kroot.
