Official rendering released by one of the contractors for CALT’s heavy-lift rocket vehicle assembly facility (for CZ-9). Construction has already started in June and is expected to take 2 years. The door is 85 m tall, while the building itself is 119 m tall.

Vikram-1 will fly next Saturday, on July 18! This first test flight mission, named “Aagaman”, meaning “arrival” will mark a milestone for #India's private space sector: being the nation’s first attempt to place a payload into orbit, using a completely privately developed vehicle.

Starship is currently targeting a launch at 5:45 pm CDT today! This will be Starship’s 13th flight and the 2nd flight for V3. This is also the first Starship to carry real Starlink satellites! These Starlinks will be tasked with examining Starship’s heatshield before eventually burning up in the atmosphere. The booster will attempt another Gulf landing after experiencing several engine losses during the boostback on Flight 12 due to high temperatures. There have been modifications made to prevent this. If all goes well, this could be the last suborbital flight for Starship!

Archimedes second stage engine full duration burn - complete ✅ (and what a thing of beauty). The AVac (Archimedes Vacuum) engine produces 1.2x lbf of its Stage 1 variant and stands ~2.5m taller thanks to its extended nozzle optimized for the vacuum conditions of space. Recent AVac testing included a stub skirt for the nozzle. Since full length vacuum nozzles at ground level risk flow separation and instability, stub skirts are used to anchor our engineers' analysis for how the engine will perform with the full nozzle in vacuum conditions - all critical preparation for Neutron's first flight.

@TFF1618 Mon guess serait que ça rentre dans leur optique de réduire la masse autant que possible, en réduisant les risques d'accumulation de fuites d'ergols car habituellement pour purger ces zones de potentielles fuites, il faut de grandes quantités de CO2, stocké dans des COPV etc...

Do you know @Latitude_eu? It’s a French company with passionate engineers that design a small-lift launch vehicle called “Our launcher”. The latest version of their 19-meter-tall #rocket is capable of carrying 200 kg to LEO. The first launch is currently scheduled for 2027! 🇫🇷

The first test flight of Vikram-1 is currently planned between July, 12 and August, 4. This will mark India’s first private attempt to place a launch vehicle into orbit. This rocket is a small-lift launch vehicle designed to place around 350 kg of payload mass into LEO.

Artemis III’s plans and crew were announced yesterday, revealing how the mission will be organized. The first launch for Artemis III will be New Glenn carrying a MK2 demonstration vehicle. This vehicle can orbit for up to 90 days, giving NASA time to prepare the SLS rocket and its crew for the flight. The SLS will follow, carrying Randy Bresnik, Luca Parmitano, Andre Douglas, and Frank Rubio into Low Earth Orbit. From there, they will rendezvous with the MK2 lander and dock for two days. During this time, they will test systems on the lander. Next will be a modified Starship V3 vehicle. This vehicle will serve as a docking target, and Orion will be docked to it for only a day. The exact configuration is not yet known, so I have used a placeholder for the ship. Afterward, the crew will undock and return home. The total duration of the mission is expected to be roughly two weeks.
