Tonight, the @RISenate’s Democratic caucus elected @RyanWPearson as the new Majority Leader following a motion by @hannagallo27 and a second from @SANDRISCANO. During remarks, he welcomed the newly elected members of the Senate and shared his priorities for the next term.

@wjdennen @RIDeptEd @AshleyKalus General assembly has also changed RIGL Ed laws in alignment with that effort.

This is not an earth-shattering proclamation. RI School Committees and others have been saying this for years. @RIDeptEd has made attempts to mimic MA (think grad requirements and RICAS), but changes or reverses course too quickly. Does @AshleyKalus have a plan to get it done?
