@wildstein David when I look at the results here with Mikie at the top of the ticket I have to wonder if there wasn’t an edge to being a woman—Sherrill, Dunn and Sweeney. Women supported other women. I’m not sure it had anything to do with Fullop and all of the inside baseball.

I flipped Sweeney and Barranco numbers. Democrat is leading by 245 votes in a district that hasn't elected a Democrat to the Assembly since 1977.

Just had my favorite voter protection hearing of the day. Young woman just turned 18; she registered to vote a few months ago at a voter registration drive. Apparently, her application wasn't submitted. She realized a few days ago and tried to register but it was too late.

@wildstein I don’t disagree. But my concern would be that renumbering, along with redistricting, would further confuse voters who barely know their current legislative district.

Weighed in with the NJ Legislative Apportionment Commission on perhaps the most peripheral issue of all: should the final map be renumbered so that, for example, District 30 isn't sitting in South Jersey?

State Sen. Dick Codey (D-Essex) is actually arguing against making his district more Democratic. He doesn't want to remove Morris County and a couple west Essex towns in his district and replace them with Hillside and Irvington.
