Politically homeless is an option. It's not an option that will get you political power. It might mean that you will be persecuted from all sides for what you know to be true. It might mean you'll be cast into the least of these. It might mean you'll have to do the work of one on one conversations, serving your neighbor without your government's help, and opening up your Bible, submitting to God's word no matter the outcome--come what may. It's ok. Because as a Christian, this world is not is not our home and death is not the end. The end is sure, so we don't have to compromise the means to get it.

@JasminLaine_ I voted for the party who balanced budgets - like I had to (usually PC). Don’t waste my $$. After Trudeau threw everyone like me under the bus during lockdowns (valid mask exemption due to trauma), I will never vote liberal again. Ever.

The algorithm on X has been pushing my content to my political opposites… rather than be annoyed by this, I’d like to use this as a learning opportunity. 🇨🇦 I genuinely want to have an open discussion on this. No insults, no “because the other guy!!”. Really think about your answer, and I discourage anyone from responding with cruelty to all good faith and honest answers. Why are you proud to be a liberal or conservative? What is it about the party that truly aligns with your lived experience and offers you hope? We share this earth together, and I’d like to get to know you better so I can better understand where you are coming from ⬇️

@maddierune This was the conclusion we reached. It’s not just cost of daycare—second vehicle, professional wardrobe, food costs increased bec you’re buying prepared/precooked, etc. etc. Was no point in me working outside the home esp when kiddos were young.

Serious question: If daycare eats your entire paycheck, and your spouse already covers the bills… what’s the point of working? Just so someone else can raise your kids while you break even? Your children are safer, happier, and better off with you. Why not be a one income household? Make it make sense.

@JonFlynnREstats I know Thunder Bay is a bit backwater, but the avg days to sell here is 14 with prices for single family homes up 11% from last year. Why is this city so different?

@Martyupnorth_2 I’ve wondered if Thunder Bay would be. Pinch point for east-west trucking and travel at one single bridge in Nipigon, ON. The Port here is a major link in Western Canada supply chain - grain, potash. Take TBay and you cut the country in half.

There’s a flood warning in Thunder Bay on Election Day 2025. The conservation authority says the ground is still frozen and it’s not absorbing this downpour of rain we’re getting.

@HotHolyHumorous @facebook What’s extra frustrating is I can’t create a new profile. Tried with a new email on a device I’ve never used Facebook on - that one got taken down for “account integrity” issues. 🙄 Thank goodness for email lists.

I've searched far & wide for flours that aren't enriched & sprayed with poison. 1847 Stone Milling operates out of Fergus Ontario, and based on their site, it looks like they ship across Canada and the US. I ordered mine on Sunday night & it just came to my door!

I've never tested for COVID and haven't taken any of the jabs...and after 4 years of COVID, 3 years of Vaccinations, 2 years of Paxlovid...I was right about ALL OF IT! We Are Seeing BIG Property Tax Increases Right Across Canada But Did Some Canadian Cities Have VERY Low Property Tax Rates? Comparisons show Metro Vancouver & Toronto Residential Taxes are very low compared to Montreal & other cities Great stuff from @HanifBayat & his team
WOWA.ca@WOWA_Canada

In July 2023, we assessed 10,000+ 🇨🇦 properties, checking: Effective property tax rate = property tax / fair value Vancouver & Toronto have some of the lowest effective tax rates in 🇨🇦, standing at 0.27% & 0.36% respectively for a detached property. More: wowa.ca/calculators/pr… #ToRe #VanRe

@JesterWootton A writer and a ‘76 baby. Didn’t grow up in the church, came to faith as a late teen. How about something like - you saw damage being done and did your best to fix it - here’s how we picked up the torch — and there’s still more work to do.

It has less to do with women and more to do with a push to deconstruct our reality. We women are merely one out of many pillars the globalist elites want to dismantle. If there are no absolutes, then there is no real "right and wrong." This dismantling is nothing new in history---as evidenced in literature---and always begins with coopting the language and refashioning how people THINK. If you read any of the top dystopian novels ("Brave New World," "1984," "Fahrenheit 451") reality is whatever the STATE deems is real. In all of these works, we see the same exact pattern of today. In order to erect a NEW WORLD ORDER, the State must deconstruct the OLD WORLD ORDER. "Brave New World" rewrote history, reconstructed how the people even measured TIME (B.F. Before Ford and A.F. After Ford). The State genetically engineered citizens to not only accept their station but to actively reject trying to better their station. ***What is the logical outcome of making entire generations sterile via gender transition therapy? And if those who aren't sterile are repulsed at the idea of having children, what then? If no one procreates, we get genetically engineered lab babies. But back to language... In "1984" there is the infamous doublespeak and doublethink. Love is Hate, War is Peace, Truth is Lie, etc. If one mentions "Fahrenheit 451," most people (if they even know the work) will say it's about burning books. Yes and no. Again, we see doublespeak/doublethink. Firemen are no longer heroes who put out fires and save citizens from disaster. They are---AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN---guardians of the State, there to root out and destroy books that threaten the State (that might inspire people think critically). ***Even the history books reflect this is how being a fireman has "always been." Hmm, can we think of how movies are now being altered to reflect something vastly different? Netflix? Anyway, in "Fahrenheit 451" not ALL books are bad, only books that make people question what the State tells them. Citizens can read all the smut and junk they like, but Shakespeare, Socrates, the Bible? NOPE. Also, the populace (as in "Brave New World") are silly, vapid, and beholden to endless hedonism, entertainment, self-indulgence...all while their government launches forever wars unnoticed and unencumbered in the background. In "1984" alliances change daily. The narrative constantly shifts b/c that is how the State gaslights the people. The people never know what is really going on, who they are supposed to support or hate. For instance, how long ago was the MeToo movement? Women only had to say they felt uncomfortable for that to equate to sexual assault in many people's minds. Universities took certain books off reading lists (E.g. "Lolita") because it might "trigger" women who'd been abused or raped. Fast forward what, FOUR YEARS? And the same people who launched the MeToo movement are telling the same women who were victims of assault/rape, etc. that---if they don't accept/welcome a grown man in a bathroom with no cameras and one exit---they are then NAZIS. Females somehow no longer have any right to be fearful in a situation where any reasonable person might be afraid. In fact, to be afraid of a naked man (who's twice her size) in the gym showers makes the woman (former victim now oppressor) a transphobe-Nazi-fascist. See? Doublespeak/doublethink. So you see, it really isn't JUST about women. This is a multi-front assault that demands vigilance. We no longer have the luxury of not paying attention.
