This (LANGUAGE) is so important in the way we speak about people. The word ‘difficult’ is catching, once it’s said or written in notes, parents are often labelled for their stay. Parents are the same as medical professionals, people who have had babies, who are unwell or small.

In #NICUAwarenessMonth we need to be talking about #FICare. No parents should be asking permission for contact with their baby. No parent should feel they can't make the decisions. No parent should feel helpless or powerless in their baby's care. Parents know baby best. Always.
